ADJ Products MISTER-KOOL-II Grave Yard Low Lying Water Based Fog Machine

I use this guy with fog juice that is formulated for low-lying fog and regular water-based ice for my Halloween laser display. I live in a 6A USDA hardiness zone, so our weather is usually in the 45°-55°F range on Halloween and I would say the effect is moderate compared to what I've seen achieved in warmer climates. I'm still plenty satisfied with how the lasers interact with the fog from this machine and I get lots of compliments from the trick-or-treaters and their parents. In one night, I use about 16 pounds of ice and half a gallon of fog juice. The ice needs a refill every 45 minutes and the juice every 90 minutes on the continuous setting. I love this product and definitely recommend it for my use case, but I'll highlight the drawbacks just to give a more complete picture. Firstly, fog juice is basically unflavored vape juice. This will affect people with respiratory issues. The access to the ice chamber is kind of a pain because you have to screw the handle for quite a while. Of course, it requires semi-frequent attention for fresh ice and fog juice as previously mentioned. The controller is unintuitive in terms of user feedback, but works fine once you dial it in. I can't wholly weigh in on the drain because I just let it run off onto the ground, but the included water bag seemed pretty small. Emptying the fog juice reservoir is not at all convenient if you want to run a cleaning solution through the fogger. Also, I did try to use this machine indoors once and it put off way too much fog on the lowest setting, so beware of that too. Still, I'd buy this again in a heartbeat. UPDATE (2025): After 4 seasons of use, the pump died, which is a bit disappointing for a machine at this price point. I'm a little handy and it was relatively easy to replace myself. I also took the opportunity to put in a longer hose, so now I can run it directly into the gallon container of juice instead of the small reservoir it comes with. I also decided to try using dry ice this year. I was only able to get blocks and it ran through less than two 10lb blocks over the trick-or-treat window. I broke the blocks up into chunks using a hammer. The low fog effect was much better with the dry ice, but eventually water-based ice condensed inside the machine from the fog itself and clogged the usual airflow path. I was able to keep the fog flowing by propping up the lid and allowing it to escape that way.

This fog machine worked great during trick or treat last night. I didn’t have time to get dry Ice so I used frog fog juice and regular ice. It was a little windy which made it lift but when the wind wasn’t blowing it stayed low on the ground. I think if I would have used dry ice, it would have stayed low on the ground even with wind. We set the timer on it for every three minutes it would let out fog for 20 seconds and this lasted from 4pm until 7:45pm without having to refill the ice or fog juice. There is still a ton of fog juice left in it even after over three hours of running! I would recommend dry ice though, like I said I just didn’t have time to grab any. We put it on a flat tile we had laying in the garage to keep it level on the ground and didn’t attach the ice melt bag to the tube that let’s water out because we were outside but if you plan on using this inside I recommend attaching it so water isn't all over your floor. Can’t wait to use this in the haunted house we run next year!

Worked perfectly I only wish the ice box was a little bigger

So I got this last week and rush home to try it out! I used ice from my freezer and got the freezing fog that is recommended for this unit. Kinda funny how this went down but I did what it said and filled it up with ice and the liquid and turned it on. After seem like for ever but I’m sure it was like five with and nothing was happing.. all stressed out and ready to call amozon it turn one and boy let me tell you my kitchen area filled and two feet high and spread threw my house in a couple mins I mean all 4 rooms 1489 Sf .. it ran two 1:30 second runs in about 4 mins and my house was about a ft think.. so I was happy just what I wanted for my 80 ft drive way for 2018 holloween hunted house I do every year.. so I open all the doors and turned on all my ceiling fans And let me tell you that might not have been the right choice I could not see and smoke was poring out the doors and few windows and setting off all my smoke alarms.. as I went around shutting off the alarms I here the fire department leaving there station that’s about two blocks away and two of my neighbors jumping over the back fence rushing into my house and freaking me out with them screaming my and my sons name you guys in here .. omg omg there house on fire :/.. this every second counts fire trucks are getting louder and then I told my neighbors it’s a fog machine guys omg !! Then they are yelling to there wife’s omg call 911 and tell them false alarm and buy then fire fighters and running up my drive way and pulling hoses off there trucks lol .. they were not happy about this!!! I’m sure because they had to roll there hoses back up lol.. So I have a 1000w fog machine and a 400 that makes fog but it’s all over the air but nothing like this floor fog that remain on the floor till you kick it up!! .. I can’t say how long this unit will run or if there issue a few month down the road but I will tell you right now this machine kicks but!!!! Worth every penny I spent and hope I get years of fun..

I ordered this for a oldies disco party and followed all instructions using the Froggys Swamp juice brand fog juice and ensuring the ice compartment was full and the drain bag set up properly. I tested it the day of the party for about 10 minutes and it worked perfectly. On the night of the party I set it with the timer to come on for about 30 seconds every 5 minutes. After the second or third fogging it stopped working. When I checked the machine the panel at the back was very hot. I plugged it out for about a half hour and plugged it back in after ensuring that the fog juice and ice compartment were full and the drain bag was operational. When plugged back in, the fan comes on but there is no fog. After about 30 seconds the rear panel gets extremely hot, forcing me to plug it out again. I tried this twice with the same result and ended up not being able to use the machine for the party. Very disappointed as I am in Jamaica and I am sure I will have no recourse to get a refund or a replacement machine. Would not recommend this to anyone.

Holy Smokes! I was running a haunted house this halloween, and wanted to be sure that we had the right machine to make the ambiance (and cover) that we needed, and BOY did this machine come through. Used with a fair amount of dry ice that easily fits int the front chamber, and high quality fog juice (we used Froggy's Swamp), you can set this bad boy to pump out a fantastic ground fog that will roll a constant ground cover for a good six hours. In fact, I have enough Swamp juice to go two more Halloweens, and we had fog that went up and down the street! We used a run of LED blacklight strips under the area that the fog started to roll downhill, and the effect was Hollywood level fog. This really brought the whole haunted house together, and we heard nothing but praise for the event, and amazement at the fog. Cleaning is a snap, and the controls, while short on cord length, are so simple to use. On our dry run, we experimented with intervals, and with dry ice levels, and you really can customize the amount and type of fog this machine will produce.

The machine is very well built. I bought some high quality Bog Fog fluid because I want a very low graveyard type fog for my performance. I used the machine with NO ICE and the expensive fog solution for a trail run. The fog produced with thick however even being a super high density fog solution with great reviews it still raised up to head level. I then put ICE IN the machine and ran it again. TOTALLY DIFFERENT RESULT!!! I had no idea how much the ice/chiller chamber effects the output. The fog still came out in high quantity and thick, however this time it stayed at knee/ankle level EXACTLY LIKE I WANTED THE EFFECT TO LOOK. You DO NOT need dry ice as that would be overkill. Regular ice works plenty well. I do not know what would happen if I used cheap fog solution with the ice but seeing the difference in result I'm very happy I got a machine with a chiller. I am very impressed with how quick the unit heats up and the short cool down time. I ran the unit quite a bit and it hardly used any fog juice at all so you get a lot of smoke with a little juice. Very happy with the purchase.

This fog machine out of the box was great! Worked exactly as advertised and in some instances output too MUCH fog! Was very good at it's job. After a few months, the fog machine stopped working consistently, the blower fan kept stalling out and not working at all. Eventually I would have to actually bang on the machine to unstick the fan. Be careful if you purchase this as some of the edges are very sharp and it cut me a couple times. Also it's pretty heavy so if you're planning on moving this machine a lot it's kind of inconvenient. I finally gave up on it today and tossed it in the trash.

Good machine. Only thing is the water dont always go out the pipe. It’s been coming out the fan so clearly it’s not water proof!

Works great! Can’t wait to out it to work at our next wedding!
