After bingeing every episode of the show I ordered this and was surprised. Its not very hot at all, but it's very flavorful. I was expecting hotter given how badly people freak out after eating these sauces, but I always cook with lots of peppers and spice so I guess I can handle it better than most people. I've put it on everything and within a week the bottle was gone. I could go through a gallon of this in a month, so it's too expensive for me. I'd love to find something just as tasty but hotter. I tried the last dab and that sauce is just gross. Yeah it was spicier, but not make me sweat hot, and not worth eating because it tasted so bad.

This sauce has amazing flavor and is light on the heat. I love spicy so to me this is mild not medium. Great on everything.

This is one of two Hot Ones hot sauces that we buy! They are the only hot sauces we will buy. This has a great consistency and a nice kick. If you like verde sauces with some heat, this is it for you! Not watery and doesn’t split.

As many other people have expressed here, I was very curious and excited to try this sauce out. I'd been hesitant for a while because of the high price, but I decided I'd buy it to share with my mother this Xmas. First and foremost, being from Southern California, I enjoy spicy food. Subjectively: I can't handle super spicy. I don't like the spicy that's all vinegar or the kind that tastes like a car battery, so sauces like Chulula or Tabasco taste disgusting to me. I prefer sauces like Tapatio and El Yucateco. Objectively: I can tolerate spicy to the level of the Atomic wings from Wing Stop and still enjoy them. I sweat like a fat kid chasing a churro, and pant like a dog trying to get off its leash, but I can still enjoy them. Now that you can hopefully understand my idea of spicy and tasty, I wasn't disappointed with Los Calientes, but I wasn't impressed. The sauce is tasty, very flavorful, with a clean mix of different flavors that come cleanly and blend together to make a very enjoyable supplement to your dish. It definitely made my unsalted butter fried eggs taste delicious without any extra toppings. However, this sauce is not at all spicy. Between my mother and I, we ended up using half the bottle with our breakfast. At most, it is only going to last us 4 uses total. The sauce was great, but I can drink it like straight from the bottle without a problem. Tapatio is spicier, but not as tasty. Tl;dr: Buy it to support the organization and to satisfy your curiosity, but the cost is not worth the hype.
