Worked great for my leaky rear hatch hinge seals that had broken down over time on my 2013 Ford Explorer. I had water coming in and was pooling down into my spare tire area. YAY YouTube as I found an auto body repairman who did this exact fix and recommended this product. Followed instructions to remove decayed original sealant, cleaned the area, sanded to scuff for proper adhesion to bare metal underneath, then cleaned again to remove any debris and applied sealant. We'll see how she holds up. Repairman on YT says his he does lasts years, as he does this often on these vehicles... I sure am hoping so!!! Luckily it's in an inconspicuous spot so it didn't have to be pretty, but the color matching was def a plus. Saves me so much money by doing it myself, esp as a single girl holding up my household alone in this economy! Happy Dance!!! Product worked perfectly during loading of caulk gun and application. Mine came with the nozzle as some mentioned theirs did not. Tube did have a couple minor dings at the push/butt end but did not deter usage, so no deduction of stars for this. Higly recommend so far. Will update review after a good rain to advise how it does - if I remember to... LOL!!

This 3M sealant closely resembles factory sealants, making it ideal for discreet automotive applications. Its strong adhesive properties require careful handling during application, but the process is straightforward: apply, smooth, and done. It is crucial to note that this sealant is best suited for non-visible areas, as it may appear messy on exposed surfaces like painted panels. In my experience, I used it to seal a hidden seam in a truck cab, ensuring a neat finish. While it also worked well externally between the cab and truck bed, visibility was not a concern. One drawback was the incomplete packaging from Amazon, as only one tube came with a nozzle. This oversight led to an inconvenience of returning one tube for a replacement that included a nozzle. It would be beneficial if instructions were provided for including at least one nozzle with orders of multiple tubes.

This is what you want to use if you have a pickup truck with a leaking rear window. The dealership “repaired” the rear power sliding window on my ‘19 Silverado. They only guarantee the repair for a year. Two years later (out of warranty) my window started leaking again. After watching a couple of YouTube videos I decided to give it a try myself. After removing the old caulk that the dealership applied and cleaning the area I applied a generous bead of this and it has worked. Time will tell but visually this seems like a superior product compared to whatever they applied. It’s been several weeks and it’s rained a few times with no leaks. By the way , I applied a heavy bead and I only used about 1/2 a tube if you’re wondering how much to buy.

Came with the tip. (Looks like that's been a problem). I've used white a black versions of this 3m sealer, so far so good. I've been able paint/coat this sealer without problem. Stays flexible but not gooey or greasy.
