Well Designed, Powerful, Light Weight. Recommend
Couldn't be happier. Light weight but very powerful. I use it primarily to trim trees an cut large branches. So much more convenient than my corded sawzall. I have several Porter Cable tools and love all of them. Well designed, durable .

Impressed by this tool!
Very impressed with this tool. This is the first reciprocating saw on battery power that I've owned. It is lightweight and made quick work of my overgrown yard. Does come with one very short blade, recommend purchasing extra pack of replacement blades. Does not come with battery but I already own many Porter Hill products so that wasn't an issue.

Massive vibration (modification)
Love how lightweight and compact it is. But the drawback is it has massive vibration, more so than my heavier corded Makita. So I've ordered anti vibration gloves and anti vibration wrap made from Navcom by Limbsaver. This thing would be impossible after 10 or so minutes of cutting. I have used every kind of tool over 50 years, except jackhammers, and haven't had this level of vibration. I'm locked into the Porter Cable platform at the moment or I might consider getting another brand.ModificationI found that if I keep the heel and palm of my hand off the handle or just loosely on it, that makes a huge difference. Also avoiding holding the barrel of the saw tightly. The weight of the mentioned Makita does help in absorbing some vibration. I'll probably keep the saw due to how lightweight, compact and handy it is and save the Makita for more heavy duty work.

Porter cable is made by Stanley black and decker
I gave this a 5 star review because I know what I bought. This is a residential homeowner type tool and it also reflects that in the price. I bought the Porter cable pruning blades. Because that's the 1st job this saw was going to do. I have a 20 year old Austrian pine That is grown so large at the bottom it's into the sidewalk. It definitely needed a little trim. Should have taken a picture. To show the amount of worked This a little guy did. To trim a pine you just don't trim the ends of the branches to get him out of the way. You start at the bottom. And take out the branch right up against the trunk of the tree. I took out 3 rows of branches. And some of those were branches were 10 12' long. So I cut a lot of those in half ended up with about a 4' high pile of branches by the street. The battery ran out on the last branch I was gonna cut but fortunately I have 4 batteries. Went to the garage got a fresh battery put that battery on the charger. By the time I was done cleaning up the branches and doing a little trimming on another tree. When I brought the saw to the garage the 1st battery was charged up. These batteries really charge up fast and work quite well. Now for the plus I'm 74 years old. And not nearly as strong as I used to be I could use this saw over my head one handed worked great didn't beat me up I didn't get tired out. Basically I think I had a lot of fun. But the thing I really want to tell you is a good tool but it's not a contractor tool. If you buy Porter cable And you've got heavy duty remodeling projects to do or you're actually a contractor you're fooling yourself. If you want contractor grade tools you have to buy contractor type tools brands like Milwaukee the Dewalt. The sad part about this whole review is that I'm pretty sure that Porter cable is going to be phased out and Craftsman is going to take its place. If you check out Craftsman tools they look amazingly like Porter cable just a different color. My son bought me the impact driver for my birthday it came with 2 batteries. And I found the drill on clearance at lowes and it came with 2 batteries. So I decided I could buy these tools on Amazon for Right around $50 a piece so I got the grinder The reciprocating saw a circular saw and a jigsaw. Is about half the price of dewalt. They didn't come with batteries but like I say reflects it in the price.
