I was a bit nervous getting this thermostat because I already tried another one which gave me so much trouble during connection and set up process. I have to say this thermostat was very easy to install. Of course make sure you have the correct wired connecting to the ac unit. There is one particular wire C4 I think it was that was giving me trouble but was easy fix. The functionality of the thermostat is great, very easy to use and navigate. I don’t find it challenging. The app provides easy and quick access to manage room temperature while away The thermostat has very sleek design, very modern. I would have gone with different color but grabbed the one on sale I’ve had this for over 6 months and I have no issues.

This fits perfectly with the Nest thermostat I posted. Pull wires through the wall plate and the thermostat base, attach to wall, and push the thermostat into place. Took 5 min to install and covered the unpainted area from behind the old thermostat perfectly.

Definitely works great and covers the whole where the old one used to be. It aligns well and nicely with my thermostat. I actually bought another and gave it to my mother and she loves how it compliments her house.

First – Why is lost one star. It just a piece of plastic with NO stiffening ribs to keep the edges against the wall when attached (e.g. lifting edges). For this price, I would have expected thicker plastic or stiffening ribs on the back side. Kudo’s to the product description – finding a cover plate for this strange Nest thermostat was made easer since they included the secret model number in the description, GA01334-US in my case. Nowhere on my Nest box uses the term “Nest Thermostat 2020”. Check out WIKI – they don’t call it that either. Now my rant on the whole process – I had an older nest thermostat that Google decided to make obsolete by turning off all phone / web control of the device. So I got this one from my utility company. Turns out that this one needed a 4th wire to run – so I had to pay some bucks to get that done. So much for and “easy installation”. My wire is run to a metal junction box, and only 1 of the holes can be aligned with the nest unit, the other holes just go inside junction – so nothing to grip. My original Nest (well built) and came with a plate that I could attach (multiple ways) to the wall and / or box. This whole Nest setup is a major downgrade. One star to Google

Absolutely love how it looks. Size is perfect and definitely saved me time from patching a few holes myself. If I can rate this product over a 5 I would. Worth every penny!
