Got it for the wildly cold winter we hadI. It is real and sturdy but my dogs used it as a bed. My black lab ate 1/4 of it while sleeping and chilling on the rest

Arrived soggy/wet, bunched up and smelled.
Product quality is terrible. It arrived soggy/wet, bunched up and smelled. I had to put disposable gloves to try and flatten it out and dry it so it would be usable for a few days until I got a shipment of my usual brand. I thought I might try this as a backup to Fresh Patch which I have been using for years. Fresh Patch is so much better. In my opinion Doggie Lawn is a waste of money.I also tried calling to let them know about the problem. I waited on hold for a few minutes and then got a recording saying they were not available. Customer service isn't very good either. Oh well.

Inconsistent but generally good
The grass patch usually lasts 3-4 weeks and comes very green. This last one had a lot of brown on it. Still, over all, this is a wonderful product that enables our dog to do her thing on the patch on our patio at night rather than me having to walk her at 2 in the morning.

Ok at first...and then...
This arrived on the last day of the window kind of crushed. The grass fluffed up ok but was a little dry and browned in a few spots, still looked great. Over the course of 1 week the grass became extremely soggy as the dog urine soaked into the growing substrate and didn't drain out of the bottom of the tray (i use my own because it has a drain if I want to rinse/water the grass (which hasn't happened yet, we just got this) i noticed that within the first week the dog is tracking wet paws w green from the grass in to the house so we have to wipe his paws and leave a cloth down in case we don't catch him in time to wash his paws (he is older and has access to the balcony while we walk around the house, which is the whole purpose of this product for us) we are back to the drawing board, I guess. So far, cedar with sod over it has worked best FYI

Fresh and clean
The grass was fresh and as clean as grass could be! It would have been nice if my new pup would have use it for its purposed but instead, she destroyed it. Which on the plus side, it was easy to clean up. For a dog that potty trained, I feel it would have been perfect but for a new older pup, it wasn’t. Recommend for a potty trained dog!
