DUO MKII 2-Channel Mixer for Serato DJ

Just started DJing recently. Bought a set of 1200s and basic 2 channel mixer. It came with the Serato scratch live SL1 sound card. This all worked ok together. Had some record pop and noise but it was fine for home use.After doing a bunch of research, I knew that I wasn’t going to be a club DJ at all nor’ DJing outside of my house basically. I came across this mixer. Checked the reviews and thought it was perfect for me. For what it is, it’s great for mixing and cutting. Cue point buttons work great. The best part is it comes with Serato DJ Pro as well as Serato DVS built in. Great product and there are a few mods that can be done to this mixer which can make it even better.Thank you amazon customer service! 😉

The lack of post fader effects across the cross fader is a big let down. I like the Galileo fader but it’s not in the same class as the innofader or mini innofader. I jumped ship to the Numark Scratch as soon as that became available. Better effects implementation, innofaders and $200 cheaper.

Pros - pretty good construction. Visually appealing. Feels solid. Pretty simple - but hey, it's a battle mixer! Integration with Serato works well.Cons - there are loop, cue and sync buttons/dials on this thing, and for the life of me, I can't seem to make them work. I have two digital controllers (Pioneer) that work with Serato, and with those, it's braindead simple to use functions like that. Not sure why these don't work - but in any case, they're not a strong point of this mixer. I bought this to get into turntablism, so those functions aren't a dealbreaker for me, but still frustrating.

LOVE IT!!!! I didn't want to spend the $1800 for the S9 and wanted to find a suitable replacement. After ALOT of research I found this and decided to order it. Well that was the best decision EVER! I completely love it and glad I made the purchase. DJing 27 years I have seen a lot but this can't be beat for the price, the feel, the simplicity, the rugged feel, everything about this is worth it to me. I have used it on my Pioneer PLX 1000's and Numark V7's and still flawless. The adjustments are great on the fly and I will never need another mixer period, that says ALOT to me!!!

I actually loved this mixer for primarily scratching but after 3 weeks the left channel fader stopped working which has not happened to most people so I think I just had a defective unit. One small thing to note is that all of the blue buttons are extremely hard to tell if they are actively on or not. When off they are bright blue and when they are on the are slightly brighter but I constantly had to get down close and press a few times and see if they were on or off. Other than that I think it's a good mixer.

This is an awesome mixer. Fader is butta. Sound is great. I really like the pad placement by the upfaders, and the effects, loops, & Serato integration is really staightforward and easy to use. Only gripe I have is that you can only have one effect setting per channel, but it's not a major setback in my opinion. Hands down the best value for a mixer with built in Serato integration on the market.

Minimalist Serato mixer with the basics to get started..I'm from the "early 80's DJ" who is still trying to catch up with this stuff. I must say that it's way better than putting tape on your records to bring the needle to where you want it to exactly play. This thing is limitless when you let your mind flow...great mixer! This mixer is pretty sweet. It has a lot of great features and I LOVE the Pro Xfade crossfader. That thing is amazing. I used innofaders before which were nice but were a bit heavy for my liking. This crossfader is light as a feather!! My only real complaint is that the LEDs on the mixer a crazy bright. Hopefully they will get a firmware update because as it is they are a bit tough in low light situations, they just blast you in the face with light.
