Cool features that I didn't know I wanted
Got a new garage door opener, and it came with a doorbell style wall button. I initially tried wiring it up with the wall remote that was there from the previous opener, which was from 2007. Didn't work. Apparently Security+ 2.0 openers require a different switch. I had a choice between this and the 882LMW, which doesn't have motion detection or auto close. This one was only a few dollars more. The old opener was a Craftsman/Chamberlain, and the wall switch was roughly the same size. The mounting holes lined up perfectly, so all I had to do was connect the 2 wires, and screw it down. Worked immediately. The motion detection works great and turns on as soon as I enter the garage from inside. It defaults to 4.5 minutes to leave the light on after detecting motion. I was able to program the remotes using this switch, and didn't have to move the cars and get on a ladder to push the button on the opener. Brilliant. I haven't tried the auto close feature, but this can auto close the door after a few minutes if you leave it open. The only thing I dislike is the backlight is just one small LED behind a smoked grey panel, so it's not very bright. It would be cool if they made the whole button light up, like a nightlight. But I guess the overhead light turns on immediately when I enter the garage, so that's not really necessary.Overall, way better than the doorbell style button, and has convenient controls for various functions. I also ordered a replacement wall keypad for outside the door. The Chamberlain/Liftmaster ones are not very durable. Mine last about 2 years of light use before the buttons don't respond any more. Hopefully this switch lasts longer than the keypads.

Takes the worry out of hurry
I had these at my last house and they served us well. We raised 3 daughters there and after each got their drivers license, closing the garage door was not on their priority lists as they took off down the road. I set these for 10 min auto close. They sound off with an alarm to warn you they are closing in case you are near. You can stop them from closing if standing by the door by waving your foot threw the safety beam. That resets the auto timer. Or if working in the yard hit the Hold button and they stay open until you hit the close button, which resets the auto timer. We moved to a new house and after finding the garage door left open overnight I bought these again.

Not Very Durable
I purchased one of these about a year ago because I wanted the timed door closing feature. It's easy to install and things worked as expected for a year. The unit then stopped working completely...it showed a flashing yellow light and none of the buttons were responsive. The door opener and car remotes work fine. A jumper on the wall control wiring indicated no issues with the wires. Thinking something just burned out on the controller, I bought the exact same wall control last week, wired it up and it's giving the same error as the old controller. I'm returning this model and I'll try something else. Not recommended based on my experience.

Works perfectly, easy to install
I bought this device because I'm always forgetting to close the garage doors. This device allows to set up automatic closure of the doors after 1/5/10 minutes after opening them.Problem solved. Very easy to install - just connect 2 wires (red/white) - the same as the old switch, and everything works. Drop-in , exact replacement.Did not use any wi-fi features; don't need them.
