Total Gym XLS Plus AbCrunch Bench – Universal Home Gym for Total Body Workout

COVID destroyed my access to the treadmill at the gym and 3times a week Pilates at a fine studio. Muscles disappear quickly! When we finally could go back, most people weren’t being careful to protect others. And who knows yet how the virus might be circulating in the air conditioning system? I want to enjoy my future retirement, not lose it dying in a COVID-19 ward! Or surviving the ward with lung or heart complications. So I investigated many exercise systems and chose the Total Gym XLS because it is a simple system of body weight resistance that has lasted some 40 years. The cost is all in one whack, yes, but it is a fraction of a year’s gym and Pilates studio fees. Best of all, there are so many videos on YouTube, that you do have a personal trainer if you study them closely. Do that and you can make a fine investment! I can duplicate a lot of Pilates moves. I love the convenience of NOT dressing for exercise, NOT driving to and from the exercise and NOT squeezing it all into one hour because people are lined up for the equipment. I am addicted to the convenience now. And still get a great workout, scattered throughout the day or evening depending on my schedule. Just listen to your muscles and design different Workouts to target upper and lower body either separately or in combination. And I defy the manufacturers to recognize their machine in my bedroom! The lazy person in me leaves the machine in full working position, but the artist in me hides it in plain sight, LOL.

This home gym is awesome. I recently upgraded from my TotalGym Apex G3 to the TotalGym XLS. The quality of the product is evident as soon as you open the box. In my opinion the TotalGym is the premier home gym for people looking to transform their body and gain strength. Easy and fun to use, I love my TotalGym and highly recommend to anyone wanting low impact exercise. Easy on your joints but provides highly effective resistance workouts that immediately shows progress you can see and feel.

As a 61 year old woman, I purchased the gym as a self Christmas gift to strengthen and tone muscles. Little did I know how much these work-outs - even at the 2 and 3 levels - would benefit me. For years, I've suffered from back pain, especially after doing chores such as yard work. It was so bad, that I needed two days of ibuprofen to recover. Yesterday, I put in my first hard day of yard work for the season. I experienced NO pain afterwards, only moments of stiffness here and there as I worked. I can attribute that only to having strengthened my back muscles through those exercises. Furthermore, my neck mobility has also increased. I am now a believer. If you're old like me, you'd be wise to get to work on this machine!!

My wife loves to exercise. I think about it ever so often, but that is as far as I usually go. However, on impulse I agreed to purchase a Total Gym XLS. GLAD I did ! The gym offers a variety of workout routines, and I have actually enjoyed working out with it. I spend 30 minutes each morning on the Total Gym, and though I have a long way to go, I am extremely pleased with the gym. It is extremely well made, and the design and ease of use is excellent. I highly recommend this product - wish I had purchased it a long time ago. Also, great customer service!

I was surprised that the machine was bigger than I expected when set up for use. The initial setup wasn't as intuitive or easy as the pictogram on the box made it seem. Figuring out where to connect the cables and other accessories to was challenging, but not impossible. The tension on the cables is very tight, and creates considerable resistance for working out. Unfortunately, one of the covers for the "feet" was cracked and I'm unable to determine where or if I can order a replacement. In the meantime, the machine works great and I'm enjoying using it several times a week. Love the workout cards that come with the system and you can watch additional instruction via YouTube. Glad that I purchased it.

Have longed for one for decades but with major health issues that have put me in the hospital 3 times in 9 months, being bed ridden, left me weak and Doctors,nurses and PT All knew this yet could not get a doctor to write it up so insurance would pay for part of the cost has been upsetting.I finally saw this for under 1K and decided I have to get my strength back even if I have to buy it.It has already me helped in just a few uses.I have to take my time and not over do it.Very well made and stronger frame in the XLS model and I got it in 18 hours!

This is my first Total Gym or any of the other home gyms of this type. I received it a couple of days ago. I have since been spending some time reading up on all the literature they give you, in addition to the training deck and all the DVD's! I'm very impressed with all the items they include with this machine, along with the attachments. I had a short workout last night and it is solid as a rock and very well made, and I'm going to be enjoying this gym for years to come. It is definitely a complete package! It was also extremely well packed and very simple to get out of the box and getting it set up in minutes. They have pictures right on the carton showing you how to get the gym out of the box. All in all, I'm very pleased with this purchase and I highly recommend it!

The total gym is just that “A Total Gym” No gym membership for me. I have my own gym!
