Bug Zapper Indoor 2800V with 2 Extra Replacement UV Blue Light Bulbs

This bug zapper really helps my mosquito and gnats problem outside. This is my 2nd purchase and I run both units in the backyard and they work great. Once the sun goes down, these things are zapping non-stop and the zapper itself and the collector tray at the bottom is completely filled the following morning. Setup and installation is a breeze and it also includes 2 extra replacement bulbs which is very helpful. I have been running my 1st unit for about 7 years now and have yet to replace a bulb, these things are solid and very good quality. Do no expect these things to solve your insect problem, but it will most definitely help, the dead bugs will prove it.

I live in Arizona in a rural area that is horse friendly. We are surrounded by stables including a large racehorse training ranch As most of you horse savvy people may know horses and flies kind of coexist this year flies out in the heat of the desert tend to seek a cooler place, (My house). This zapper is amazing. It works great. After only 24hrs My home is pretty much fly free. Getting another for my Arizona room.one

Works perfectly with phorid flies ("drain flies" or "coffin flies" and other "gnat like" non-biters) Also works with the slightly larger "house flies" (ie the larger black ones that pupate from maggots that start IN the garbage) I plugged 1 in my bathroom and a drain fly jumped to its death instantly. Absolutely flawless fatality! House flies within 15 minutes. I have used this type in the past and they can generate absolutely gigantic mass graves of arthropods. I dont survey the devastation, but I also never get mosquito bites In case its not well understood: Violet and even moreso UV LEDs /diodes are "just not quite there yet" as a technology in comparison to the fluorescent bulb type that these lights employ (at minimum since this application needs more of a broad spectrum, not a particular strong suit of diodes of any type) Just make sure you dispose of dead bulbs appropriately This is not really a complaint, more of a "be aware" The power cables are not long. You may need an (basic 2-conductor/prong) extension cord depending on where you locate it This isnt a downside. Its actually far superior to have a short wire in case you want to use it near a plug Consider using a light-socket outlet adapter so you can hang it near exterior door lighting

This works great. I purchased this product to get rid of midges, or no see-ums as they're called. It attracts many types of flying insects. They tray comes out easy enough if you push it from the back and grab it from the front. I bought those thin sheets of plastic used to cut vegetables on and placed it underneath because many of the smaller insect get shot right out of the zapper onto the counter where I keep mine. It is loud enough to be heard a few rooms away. I haven't seen mosquitos in them, but mosquitos are attracted to carbon dioxide, not ultraviolet light. The video shows some assembly, but mine came fully assembled. After using it for a while I bought a second one for my daughter. Pretty satisfied with the product. My first purchase was September 2020 and my second was March 2021. Both have been on almost constantly with no issues. An occasional big moth may get stuck and get zapped several times. I used a wooden shish kebob skewer to push it down after I shut the zapper off rather than removing the protective screen, which I have not taken off since my purchase.

This is a powerful zapper! The gnats have been terrible this year in my house, and after trying sticky traps (miserable failure) I got fed up and bought this zapper, honestly not expecting that much. Well, I set it on my kitchen counter, plugged it in, was blinded by the light (literally) and when a gnat hit it, you could hear the crack of lightning at the other end of the house! I am not exaggerating. It vaporized the gnat. When a fly or moth hits it, it sounds like a helium balloon just exploded next to your head. I'm sure this little unit could also be utilized outdoors, though your neighborhood might think you've opened up a shooting range in your backyard from the sound. I've never had a larger bug zapper before, so perhaps this is normal. So, pros are that this zapper is very effective against large and small flying insects, it is compact enough for your countertops or the top of your fridge, there is no annoying buzzing sound when in operation, and it makes a great nightlight for half our house. Cons are that it is loud when a bug gets zapped. Our four dogs bark at the crack of insect doom from the other end of the house, one of them now refuses to enter the kitchen and everyone in the household flinches and cringes when within 5 feet of the unit in anticipation of an impending strike of bug induced lightning. My husband is the exception, so another pro is that he is highly entertained by the gnats being electrocuted. He is also happy (or secretly disappointed, hard to tell) that he no longer is chasing the hundreds of gnats around the kitchen swinging wildly with the electric tennis racket (lightweight handheld battery powered zapper that never did anything, in my opinion) or attempting to vacuum them off the ceiling, appliances, etc with the vacuum hose (which was mildly successful and quite fun to watch a grown man wildly wave around a vacuum hose after microscopic insects traveling the speed of an F14.) My conclusion is that this was a great buy, I'd recommend to a friend, space friendly, insect unfriendly, nice longer cord, powerful, but be prepared for all in household to have PTSD every time someone snaps their fingers from the time of the first buggy demise on. Next 4th of July should be fun for all of us.

0. The zapper died in 8 days of use. 1. Was shipped/delivered in it's original box only. No secondary box, no packing, no protection, which is unfortunate for a device with 2 rather fragile bulbs. Surprisingly it arrived safely, though it's very short life makes me wonder. 2. It is the loudest zapper we've ever had/heard. Zaps and pops can be heard >70 ft away (ask my neighbors ha!) and after midnight it's not particularly something you want to hear go all night/morning long. Closed double-pane windows required to temper db to [possibly] acceptable levels to avoid sleep disruption. Definitely must use the convenient OFF switch during outdoor mealtime and if attempting a conversation nearby on cellphone (yep the work from home thing means a lot of cellphone time here and who knew the bugs would be happier as a result...). ;-) 3. Cord is a decent length, no not long, but not too short like some other similar products we've used. Thus we were able to use without an extension cord to sit outside in our bay window that unfortunately attracts an abundant variety of undesirable winged insects. The dead bodies accumulation tray is a really cheap design, but it works OK as long as unit is upright and it's not too windy. 4. It kills intended victims reasonably well. As loud as the electrifying action is, one would think the death to be a swift end to any insect, yet this is not the case for largish size moths that survived - though not without injury. Wife's sympathetic side was triggered by the vision of zapped moths flopping crazily around in obvious duress. 5. Definitely excellent performance attracting winged things while providing an eerie glow seemingly appropriate this time of year. Hopefully the return/refund process will not be a problem.

(Edit: July 26, 2025) Well, five years and a couple weeks later, after much use every year, the second bulb finally died. Now I'm here shopping for a new unit because I may as well get a new one rather than just replace the bulbs. Have to admit, I got my money's worth out of this. (Original review:) I've had this unit for about a week so far, and it's worked well. I've enclosed a picture of one day's kill of pesky gnats that pop up from nowhere to buzz around my house every summer. It's been like this every day, and I've usually relied on passive sticky traps or simply killing them by hand before. I've used bug zappers outside, so I knew what to expect. The reviews are right about the sound, though. It doesn't bug me, because each sharp crack means one more dead bug and the end of it's (previously) possible descendants. Each crack, does, however, startle my wife, so that's something you may need to keep in consideration. It's loud but quick, so if you can get used to it, it shouldn't be a problem. After having a gnat buzz around my face, disappear, and a minute later hearing that crack, I experience something akin to sweet vengeance. Cleaning is easy, as you simply pull the little tray on the bottom out and dump it. For some particularly fried bugs you may need to wipe or rinse, but it's still no big deal. I've done both and have also sometimes just vacuumed them out. Sometimes they get under the tray or outside the unit altogether. This is because not every kill is an instant one. I've seen them zapped and then move around a bit, sometimes walking, sometimes spinning, and then die. So you will find some dead bugs on both sides of the unit if it's sitting on a surface. If it's hanging up, this means dead bugs on the floor, so be prepared for that when you decide where to place it. The unit is much bigger than I thought it would be. I didn't read the size, but just went by people's pictures, and when it came in, I was surprised. This is as tall and almost as long as my small microwave. It's not too deep, and can be easily picked up in one hand. The power line is short, though, so it will need to put it near an outlet unless you use an extension or surge suppressor. I don't leave it on except during the day when I'm around, because I don't like leaving anything going while I'm asleep, so this is luring bugs to it that could be hanging around windows trying to get the sun instead. It's still a good idea to minimize any other attractants, though, to maximize the slaughter. I haven't had to do any bulb changing, but I have seen others talk about leaving it unplugged for a couple of hours before touching it. The manual gave like advice, although it may have just been for one hour. Either way, I'd double to it to be safe. If the unit dies before I feel it's been worth the cost, I'll update this review if I can.

Though I had some fly paper help (and maybe hindrance) this puppy did the trick. What happened is about 4 days ago we all of a sudden had an infestation of these little bug type thingees. Not even sure what they were. Very small. About the size of the tip of a pen. It made it tough to make a salad, because the bugs would hover over it. Each ingredient I'd have to swat away bugs. I went and got some fly paper. That came in a 2 pack. Ya could hang from a light or stand it on its own and put near the window. I used 1 the first day. That caught a lot, but it still left a lot. The 2nd day I opened the 2nd one. I figured might as well use that too. I figured I'd put this one by the light. I left it on overnight, hoping it would get rid of most of them. Ooops!! The two were now pretty full, except there were tons more bugs. I think what happened is the light attracted the bugs to come through a small hole in the wall from the outside. The 3rd day- yesterday- I kept the kitchen dark, and used the dim light over the oven with the fly paper. It's got a lot on there, but there were still plenty of bugs. I was going to get more fly paper. That was $7.50 though. I figured I'd try this instead, as it was about $35 and it could be used continuously. I ordered at noon. It was delivered by the afternoon. Took the 4 screws out so I could adjust the catch plate and get the extra bulbs out. Put em back in. Plugged the thing in. About 5 seconds later heard a loud "POP!!" Startled me, but big smiles. I left for a few hours. Came back and while still a few bugs, a massive improvement. There were about 10 crawling on the counter near the light. No biggie in using my slipper to smack em. Much easier than when they were flying around. A few hours ago, I was able to make a salad. No bugs flying around having me think they would end up in my food. I just went out to the kitchen, and killed 3 more that were walking on the counter. So no, it might not get every single bug. Still a massive 5 star. Also, some of the bugs it kills don't fall in the catch plate. So you'll have to wipe your counter off. Again, that beats 100's of bugs flying around. As for the noise- if you're right next to it the thing can be loud. To me it was a good sound. If you go to the next room you can hear it, but it's not loud. It lets ya know when it got something. I also can't speak for the longevity of it. I've only had it one day. I'm about to unplug it, as it seems most of the bugs are now dead. Hopefully they don't come back and I won't need it again. If they do, I'll use this again rather than buy fly paper.

Poor product. Unable to catch a single mosquito for the past 3 days we used the two of them. I bought. Now returning them. Perhaps, the design, attempting to catch mosquito from the base, seems impractical. Or, the power cut may have permitted the mosquitos to escape. I was more successful to kill around five mosquitos with bare hands last night. Product is waste of money

Después del tiempo sigue prendiendo y solo los que pasan los elimina pero creo que ya no atrae a los mosquitos quiero saber si son los tubos, aunque prenden, lo compre y me funciono, pero si hay que ver sino lo han rediseñado y esto hace que no sirvan debería tener dos rejas una para insectos mucho mas pequeños, ver la vida util lámpara UV y el tamaño para remplazarlo. Compre otros de otra marca y trate de ponerle un cordon de plastico y solo unos 2 milimetros aplaste el aluminio y lo prendi cuando paso un mosquito dejo caer la carga de energia y como pegaba con el aluminio se generó un corto que que barbaro si lo hubise jalado mi madre se ubise pegado, no le ponen asislante en la parte superior y cuando se aplasta o aboya por algun motivo ni pensarlo no lo deje al alcace de los niños piencenlo estos aparatos deben esta bien diseños y con proteccion.

Worst products, never buy, more positive reviews doesn't mean good product but it is fake reviews. This product not effective in removing the mosquito in 10x10 room, waste of power, wanted to return but do not have options to do it. I lost money
