Awesome Game, expensive but well worth the combo
Love this starter set that iuncludes Wave 1. It does have a lot of pieces that have to be assembled and painted if you want it to pop. It also has a lot of rules to learn to play but the rules can be adjusted. Takes about 3-4 games before you get the hang of it but then. Oh My Gosh. It's gonna be thousands of hours of playtime. If you know how to paint and assemble mintiature figures and have the patience to read and play this game is a massive storage of fun. The extra Waves 2-11 are kinda pricey but they do add A LOT of content to expand your playing ability. I can highly recommend this game for geeks of board games and warhammer fans or those who wanna get into the Masters of the Universe franchise Table top Gaming. Material is absolutely georgous and detailed . Took me about 1 week to put it all together and another week to paint them all. Use VALLEJO paint. It's better than Revell or Tamiya and Citadel for these figures.

Fun game with fantastic minis
The game is a blast to play and all of the characters feel like the ones from the cartoons in how they play. It uses a deck of card called fate cards to determine initiative and how many actions and resources the model gets when it activates. Designing a fate deck to work with your team and their gear is a fun game but there are pre-constructed decks for you to simply start playing. If you loved masters of the universe this skirmish game is for you. Models will require assembly as they are high impact plastic on sprues.

Excellent WITH BIG CAVEATS!
This game is fantastic, beautiful, and fun as heck. Now that I’ve played it, I love it. The mechanics of building your force before playing is fun. The terrain and minis are beautifully sculpted and the rules do a good job making things feel cinematic and variable (lots of repeatable play). I also love the theme and IP. I’m very happy I own this. BUT there are some important things folks should recognize before buying: This is NOT an easy game to lean or play. This is especially true if you don’t play a lot of games (particularly battle games with miniatures). The rules are complicated and VERY “ticky-tacky”. Further, I didn’t find the rulebook to be laid out in a way that eases learning. Important rules are sometimes buried and/or listed in strange locations but not others where they would be useful. I tried making a cheat sheet to help during first play and I still had to rummage through the rules and search the internet constantly for clarification. And I’m a person that plays a lot of games (although admittedly I don’t play tons of battle miniature games). It’s also slightly annoying that, at this high price point, the miniatures must be clipped out of sprue, assembled, and painted. The painting, I can almost forgive. But the assembling? The tiny stratos figure had TWELVE pieces to clip out and glue together! His head was separate and the size of a pin head. My old undexterous fingers really struggled with this. Further it was a month before I had everything assembled (but not painted) so the game could be played the first time. For the rather high price of this game, the figures should at least come assembled if they want to draw in new players. Folks who play games like Infinity or Warhammer are probably already used to these problems and it won’t affect them as much. Folks that are just getting into games, or buying it bc they like the IP, might be pulling their hair out before even attempting to play. And I would never buy this game with an expectation that kids could figure it out.
