OK For Beginners Playing B Standard, Everyone Else Avoid
What a disappointment. This book is OK for beginners who wish to play in B standard (BEADGBE) tuning. All materials in this book are in B standard tuning, so if you're interested in Drop A (AEADGBE) or any other alt 7-string tuning and you are at least at advanced beginning to intermediate level you're better off with references like Benjamin Taylor's "Visual Guide to Chords and Arpeggios" books. Otherwise, avoid.

thorough 7 string guitar reference
it's definitely a reference book as it says in the title. there's just pages of arpeggio patterns, chord patterns, scale patterns, charts, all sorts of stuff. it's definitely not a lesson book so you can't just like, read through it and pick up things, it really is a reference book. there's words and bits of help concerning visualization of the fretboard, patterns, use of said things in the book, general advice about performance and practice.nice book to have though if you want some help with your 7 string guitar.

Not a fan of kindle formatting
The content is fine, and the print version would get 4 stars. My gripe is the formatting with this and many other kindle books - you just get a single column of chords/fingerings per page, and have to scroll around for ages to get to what you want. I suspect that in the print version this information is probably in tabular form. Other than that, well, it's a reference book. You probably should be able to play a 6 string if you're reading this, and if that's the case, you can probably work out for yourself a lot of what's in this book.

but what is written is really useful. There are tons of chord variations
This book wasn't quite what I was expecting, but it ended up being exactly what I needed. There isn't that much written material inside, which is what I expected, but what is written is really useful. There are tons of chord variations, and the later lessons on picking are very nice. I was disappointed at first, but after an hour of study quickly changed my mind.

good book, great reference
really nice reference book for people playing a 7 string... IF the 7th string is tuned down to B. It looks like it might be a rock book from the cover image, but it's not at all. It covers all the scales, chords, and arpeggios to get you started - and keep you busy for a good long time. Good for whatever music you are playing with your 7 string.

Great for learning many new chords
Great for learning many new chords. This book is straight to the point with page after page of chords, scales, and modes. Excellent reference and highly recommended.

Best overview for 7 string guitar
Very detailed overview and good instructions how to use the book. Better learn a few Chords arpeggios and scales and ise them frequently. Like the teacher explains

Definitely a reference book, but, for me, not really helpful for learning the seven string guitar.
My first gripe with this e-book, as with many others, is that the e-book preview does not show any of the material to be learned. You have to take it on faith.Seondly, this book is just chords, arpeggios and scales. There are no patterns or licks to learn, that is completly left up to the guitarist. This will certainly be of benefit to some musicians, but for me, I need a bit more.

Chord Book Only
Just a chord book, not a great deal of help for learning a 7 string guitar.
