Do these have any lead in them and where are they made?

I think I purchased these battery terminal approx a year ago for use on my 31 hp Yanmar tractor and I did take a look at them approx a month ago and they still looked brand new. I do not know if they have any lead in them. They appear to be all brass with the exception of the clamp fasteners and the post and it's fastener. I am happy with the connectors I received and they seemed to be better quality than the similar connectors I've seen in "big box" stores

can the stud to contact the battery cable be removed and/or replaced?

Yes, the "stud" is just a normal hex bolt. In fact there is nothing holding the hex part of the bolt from dropping by gravity. But the hex part is inside a hex slot so no need to have 2 tools to tighten it. Note also the stud size is 10mm so be sure your cable lug size is big enough. The nut's size should be compatible with the 5/16" stud nut so no need for another size socket to tighten the cable.

Is the stud made of steel or is it stainless steel?

I don’t think they are stainless. Zinc plated mild steel probably. I’ve had these on my truck for over two years and they still look like new. Very happy and would buy again. Hope this helps.

Is the negative terminal opening smaller than the positive?

Yes, because the battery negative post is small than battery positive post.

Excellent battery terminals. Considerable weight to these with accurate dimensions. No issues tightening these on the battery posts or connecting 2/0 gauge cables to it. Great product for a reasonable price. Recommend.

Works all good

Very nice solid and sturdy. Just the bolt was too thick for my camry 2000 connector plugs. Solved it my making the connection holes bigger so that the bolt can pass through. But over ll very happy.
