Perfect!
I bought this as a gift for my husband, who’s a history teacher, and it was an absolute hit! It looks great on him, and he was so excited that he brought it straight into his classroom. He’s been using it to show his students how military gear evolved and how each side adapted it over time. He loves having the two bands, and he keeps saying the details are “astonishingly faithful to the original.” I couldn’t be happier with this purchase!

Not digital. Quartz movement. Nice looking.
I have to admit, when I see other reviewers criticize this product because of losing 3 seconds/month vs. an atomic sync'd watch (digital), I really have to wonder, what is so important about a 3 second difference per month? What do they expect from a watch that is battery powered with quartz movement? I found most of the negative details in others' reviews to be really picky for the price (low) and quality (high) of this watch. The luminous dial works like luminous dials work. Phosphorescent, and thus needs to get a quick (2 seconds) charge of light to read. The hands are visible longer than the numbers or markings, and the second hand is not luminous, but a second hand is so thin, there is hardly any room for luminous paint to be visible. I love this watch, and others negative comments seem based on unrealistic expectations, or lack of understanding. No, the watch does not have H3 (like newer compasses/watches, and more expensive watches), nor does it use uranium like the early luminous dial watches, which also means that the luminous qualities on this watch will outlast the half-life of radioactive dials. This means that after a short period, it will need another bit of light from a small torch (flashlight). New mini LED flashlights (Streamlight recommended for brand) have pocket and hat clips and comfortably fit in your pants or shirt pocket (assuming you are using a pocket protector (shirt) or pants without anything other than the clip). I find that having a small LED mini torch is handy to just keep with you all the time, to find remotes, fumble with your keys, whatever. You could also charge it with a lighter, but a torch (flashlight) is safer and doesn't ignite or force you to risk burning yourself, and also works regardless of the wind. In any case, I love this watch and wear it every day. At night, I put it in its pouch when I go to sleep to keep the dust off, and to let any moisture evaporate from the band. I am very happy with my purchase.

Keeps time
I am seeing a 3 second accuracy a month. So far I like it. Of course the luminous dials fade quickly, but its still a nice watch.

Vintage Fighter Pilot looking with beige/white face (made from Europe)
No website for this company, but... This is suppose to be the outside watch, made by Spain, with an automatic movement made by the Swiss vs another company, made by chi-com or sometimes claim to be a jap. Even the new Laco movement ($1,300+) is the jap movement. This version is quite good, the leather band is fine, night hands read okay and the looking like the vintage (beige/white) fighter pilot, is great. There is another version, made it look new with a black face. So-called crystal-mineral is really tempered glass for the lens. Very pleased.

Looks nice, feels kinda cheap, doesn't keep time.
For the price of this watch, I would expect it to keep time at a minimum. It loses about 1 to 2 minutes every hour. That's pretty bad. Other than that, the watch looks ok. Lighter than expected. Feels kinda cheap. More like a $40 watch. But even a $40 watch can keep time. There's really nothing else like it on the market, unless you want to pay $$$$$ for a real one. I don't want to bother with returning it, so I'm just going to throw it in a drawer and try to forget I bought it.

It’s a really nice watch!
Fantastic watch. Very high quality, simple and classic design. The watch size is great and the band is thick. Very happy with this purchase! Don’t hesitate to get one! Can’t wait for the black version to come out soon as I’ll be buying that when it does.

Giving up
Update: I’m giving up and returning this watch. It’s a shame because it’s exactly what I was looking for. Beyond the short band, the watch looses about 1.5 seconds a day. That may not seem like a lot, but it adds up very quickly. I am gauging it against my iPhone, so I feel very confident. Avoid! So I’ve only had this watch for a day, so I’ll update this about reliability. I set the time exactly to my iPhone and so far, it’s perfect. The watch is beautiful and exactly what I expected. Very easy to read. Here’s the issue. The band is far too short. It seems to be good quality and looks nice, so that’s a shame. I don’t have big wrists and I’m wearing it in the correct location above the bone. I can barely clasp the band in the longest hole and that hurts too much to even wear it. I’m keeping the watch. It’s very nice, but most men will need to add a new band in the cost. And certainly don’t buy it if the look of the band is part of your choice.

It’s a nice enough watch, the description in the product describes it as accurately as one might expect. Watch bezel possesses a certain rawness to its finish which speaks to what the watch is being advertised as. Weight of the watch is is noticeable and solid. Gives off the vibe of a resilient watch. The watch strap is of good quality. It feels premium to the touch. Packaging of the watch is rather interesting and fun. The watch is neatly placed on a military style fabric bag that itself is in a flat black box. The WWII font on the box is a little over the top, but not a turn off. Not to be overly critical, but I find the second hand to just ever so slightly jittery, with a slightest of a kickback as it moves. It’s not overly noticeable but I have to wonder if it will eventually wear on the inside movement. Overall I would recommend the watch. I’m generally happy with the purchase.
