Defect? Poor quality
Many balls formed together, I'm almost wondering if this was a knockoff, factory second, or defective product. Other honestly I've purchased from brush research have been much better.

Watch your depth.
It worked and we got the cross-hatch pattern we wanted. Had to be careful to not go to deep, the bottom part got caught a few times.
