MADE Rubberized Camera Armor Lens Hood + Cap Leash (Camo) fits 52, 55, 58, 62mm Lenses + Cleaning Kit

This review is primarily for the Lens hood, as the other items are pretty much thrown in to make it worth charging $6 for the whole thing.(Actually, I think the lens hood was thrown in for free)The MADE [silicone] lens hood looks awesome. It has a beefy look to it and the camo, well if that’s what you’re going for then it adds to the beefiness. Upon opening the package, I was a little put off by how small the hole was but I reminded myself that it’s silicone and will stretch. This hood is supposed to fit ANY lens between 52mm and 62mm. On paper this theory is believable. However when trying to install this on a Canon 18-55mm STM lens (58mm), the hood mount around the outer lens element is too shallow to allow for the lens armor to fit correctly. It either slips off or gets in the way of the zoom action of the lens. The same went for my Canon 50mm (52mm). It didn’t fit on it unless I attached my metal lens hood to it, basically extending the focus barrel out of the lens body.The fix for this would be a plastic ring adapter to come in the kit that allows this hood to be used on these types of lenses.[This hood did (kind of) fit onto my older Canon 75-300mm IS II telephoto.]Overall, I was happy with the appearances of the hood but it just didn’t fit the lens that I wanted it to fit. It would be great if MADE would address this issue!
