Shubb Guitar Steel Slide

Looks great and really good quality. I use it for playing my Dobro guitar.

Need a backup steel slide for my steel guitar and this one fit the bill. Nice and heavy and smooth

This is a very good, inexpensive slide for dobro. If you have large hands, this may not be the best choice. I have fairly thin fingers, so the radius of the sides of this slide fit my hand very well. It fits nicely across the strings of a six string resonator guitar and isn't overly long. The weight is good and provides good control for hammer-on's while the chamfered tips make pull-off's sound crisp and clean. If you're a beginner and want a decent steel that doesn't break the bank, this is a good choice.

I just bought a lap-steel guitar at a great price to see what it was like to play one, and I only had a cylindrical solid steel slide which is not very comfortable for my hand to hold on the lap steel. This Shubb steel slide is great -- with one finger on the top groove and my thumb on one side and another finger on the other side I have great control of this steel slide. It's easy to hole, and there are two differently shaped ends so you can hold it with either end pointing away from you to get slightly different effects.This is the steel slide that I see every pedal steel guitar playing holding and once I put it in my hand I could understand why -- it's great!

I never really played lap steel guitar before now, so I had no use for a slide that didn't fit over my finger. I got this to try out lap steel and I love it. It's good and heavy so there's none of the annoying string rattle that happens when you don't press firmly with the slide. Also, the contours fit my fingers perfectly so it really didn't take any effort or time to learn the "proper" way to hold a lap steel slide. The lip on both ends make it very easy to slant it in either direction and also gives some pretty cool effects by "picking" the string when you move it back and forth across the strings. If you're serious about learning lap steel guitar or if you're already a seasoned lap steel player looking for an upgrade, buy this slide!
