Paperwork to good in the aspect that it held the moisture of the stripper next to the wood for an extended period time. The key to using this method of stripping is to not allow the material to completely dry up.I had two layers of oil over varnish and then painted over all of that was a latex. In some situations the stripper work better without the paper and other situations the paper was helpful.I recommend getting the paper in a small quantity and using it a test batch on a surface to see what results you get.My woodwork was over 100 years old, so once we got down to the bare wood there were so many dings and nicks that we are puttying, sanding and now priming and painting.Refinishing Old wood to a natural finish is often not possible, But this product was helpful to at strip off old paint and varnish back to the bare wood so that we can sand and prime and paint and make it a nice presentation.

Works but in a pinch you can use wax paper
This goes with the Peel Away Paint Remover system. It works well as long as you get all of the air bubbles out after applying the Peel Away. I also have used just regular wax paper instead of this product in a pinch when I ran out of this paper but didn't want the Peel Away to dry out. If you use regular wax paper that you buy at the grocery store which is a lot cheaper you'll have to try scraping the paint off in 3-6 hours. This dumond paper just let's you prolong the paint removal process and let's the product work on eating away the painted surface more efficiently.

worked well to remove paint
This paper helped easily remove 2 layers of paint on a door of 7 layers. I was able to peel it back and "hack" use it twice. I really wish I bought the larger pack, since I had so many layers to remove. Most paint stripper only remove 2 layers at a time, so keep that in mind. I would buy this again. I had the best results with Smart Strip and this paper.

Doesn't work
Very disappointed!! Used this product on a door with approximately 4-5 coats of existing paint -both latex and oil base. Tried Dumond stripper with and without the recommended paper; left the stripper on for 3, 8 ,12 and 24 hours with poor results in all cases. The paint stuck to the paper about 5% of time and then it was the 1st coat only. Even after vigorous scraping of any softened paint, only the 1st and 2nd coat was removed. No bare wood was exposed. This product was a waste of time and money and I'll be returning to my heat gun to remove the paint on my woodwork. The only positive things I can say is the product had no odors and was a good consistency that didn't drip.

Peel Away paper doesn't work to remove multiple layers of paint, makes a big mess & ,is hard to use.
Peel Away Laminated Paper and the product Peel Away, for which it is recommended to work in tandem, do not do what they say they will do. And they are expensive to try. After days of following the instructions, we ended up with a big mess and the paint still was not removed. The Peel Away product also discolored the wood we were trying to uncover. Very disappointing. I would never buy this again.

Would use again, see before and after pics
I removed paint and plaster from an old brick fireplace. Don’t be stingy when applying the product, you need to really cake it on. I let the product sit for 24 hours before removing the paper. The product doesn’t easily peel off... I used a metal scraper and a wired brush to remove the paint. Be sure to cover your floors! This stuff is sticky and difficult to remove from flooring. I would purchase this product again.

It keeps the stripper from dripping
The best thing about this is it keeps the stripper from dripping. But when I remove it slowly scraping the paint as I lift the paper like the video shows, it has just a small amount of paint on it . Most of the paint is being pushed by the scrapper. It does not work like the video no matter how I try. I bought a ton of this stuff so I'm just going to use it for keeping the stripper from running down the cabinets when I lather it on.

Effective product
I used this after seeing it on ask this old house (I did not use the dumond chemical, only the paper with an alternate chemical). While I did have much better success with, I was hoping layers of paint would stick which was not the case (minimal paint stayed on paper). What the paper did do was keep the paint/chemical in tact and wet for easy scraping of soft, gooey paint. With the paper, I was able to get through several layers of paint down to bare wood with two applications. If I were to use again I would try the full system from Dumond vs a mix and match of what I have laying around.
