Since I was a kid I have always used screw clamps for hoses. I have always hated them. Screwdriver tends to slip out. Usually when its really cold. That way when you get all stabby the pain is much more severe...good times.Oh yeah, and you get to re-tighten every now and then for reasons. I don't know, i'm not an engineer.These guys are crazy easy and quick to clamp. Slip on the collar, squeeze and you are done. From what I understand, they never get loose.I own a business and time is money. And these really save time and effort. This kit may cost a bit, but i'm of the mindset "buy once cry once".My next purchase will probably be a set of "side clamp pliers".Anyway, I highly recommend this kit as it gives you an assortment of clamps and a set of good pliers. The assortment allowed me to figure what clamps I will need the most.

I got this set for working on my Audi and some other tasks around the house/garage like making custom hoses.The tool that comes with this set is a genuine Oetiker Standard Hand Pincer 14100082/1098l which works just fine. You can also use this tool to remove the clamps as well.The clamps also appear to genuine Oetiker ones and are stamped on the side with the size. Hint, Oetiker spec's all their clamps in metricIf you work at it you could probably buy the contents of this set individually for slightly less, but time is money so I suppose it all comes out in the wash.If your new to using these types of clamps it's important you know the outside diameter of the hose your going to clamp when it's in place. Knowing just the outside diameter of the hose is not enough as it will expand when you insert a fitting (barb) or force the hose onto piping.After making your measurement pick a clamp where your measurement falls about in between the min and max size for a given clamp. Too small and it won't fit or close, too big and it won't seal properly.A micrometer is the best tool for this which I have and didn't follow my own advice. Subsequently when the kit arrived, the largest size included, 5/8"(15.7 mm) would fit over my 3/8" ID hose but when I put the barb in I couldn't even slide the clamp into place, let alone close it.So my project was delayed while I ordered the correct size.I'm satisfied w/my purchase and have been looking to start a collection of these clamps. If you own a European Car it's a must.

The pincer tool is of excellent quality. The fit and finish remind me of my Knipex brand tools. The assortment of clamps in this package are also great but were too small for my initial project. So now I'm all set and don't even have to worry about measuring correctly. Just use/check what I already got to see what fits best, and then clamp it down.Each clamp is stamped with the size so I can confidently reorder the exact size I need.The plastic cases are good, too. Not like the flimsy ones that break during shipping. I can actually use these cases. Very nice.Yes, I probably have some clamp sizes here that I’ll never use. But it’s just a few of each to get me started. What I’ve clamped thus far with this solution has been rock solid and looks very professional.

Feels good in the hand, works great to set clamps, plus the extra clamps in in a husky organization box and are of good quality.

Came in handy for some projects on my car.

Worked great for crimping the hose on the fuel regulator for my Mercury Verado, plus it comes with a great assortment of clamps.

I was surprised, very high quality tool and useful selection of clamps for the price. Heck, I've seen just a tool of this quality sell for that price.
