I bought these Skittles Chewies (137g bag) just to try something different from the regular ones, and they’re honestly one of those sweets I keep going back to. Taste & texture The biggest difference is the texture No hard shell like normal Skittles Softer and more chewy all the way through They’re basically the same fruity flavours (orange, lemon, strawberry, blackcurrant, lime), just in a softer version, which makes them easier to eat What I noticed straight away The first time I tried them, I realised they’re much easier to snack on. You don’t get that crunch — it’s just a smooth chew, which some people actually prefer. Skittles Chewies are specifically made without the outer shell for a softer texture Flavour The flavour is still that classic Skittles taste Sweet and fruity Strong enough to notice each flavour Slightly more “gummy-like” compared to normal Skittles Value for money These are usually quite cheap (often around £1 in supermarkets) For a sharing bag, it feels like good value, especially if you just want something to snack on or share. Things to keep in mind Because they’re softer, they can stick together if warm Quite sweet, so easy to overeat Not as satisfying if you prefer the crunchy shell My personal take This is one of those products where it comes down to preference If you like soft, chewy sweets, you’ll probably prefer these, If you like the classic crunch, stick to normal Skittles. For me, they’re the kind of sweets I end up finishing without realising because they’re just easy to eat and don’t feel heavy They’re simple, familiar, and just work as an everyday treat and come in great sizes.

These are the best skittles that exist, they are chewy and so much better.

I bought these because I like normal Skittles and wanted to see what they were like without the shell. The biggest difference is definitely the texture — they are much softer and chewier, more like a small fruit chew than a normal Skittle. That matches what other people tend to say too, with a lot of comparisons to Starburst-style sweets. The fruit flavours are still very recognisably Skittles, which is good, but for me they become a bit too sweet after a handful. I actually miss the crunchy shell because it breaks up the sweetness and gives normal Skittles more texture. They are still good for a movie night, road trip or sharing bowl, and if you prefer soft chewy sweets you may actually like these more than the original version. Personally, I would choose regular Skittles most of the time.
