Good switch, great seller
The switch is great. Configuration was simple, VLANs work great, everything you would expect from this switch. I'm actually not using it with the Proliant server it was designed alongside.. Just using it as a regular switch behind my firewall. Bought it mostly for the form factor, and I've had great luck with HP gear in the past.Good switch, GREAT seller! I ordered from Core 4 Solutions through Amazon and the whole team there was incredibly friendly. Even followed up to see if they could learn more about my use-case and possibly make suggestions for other equipment I would be interested in.

Don't trust the documentation
Just got my switch today. HPe needs to do a much better job with their documentation. The switch was set for a STATIC IP (192.168.2.10/24), not DHCP as it states in the enclosed documentation. After installing my switch UNDER my Microserver, as it is intended, this made it extremely frustrating to access the interface.

Great switch for the price
This has been a great switch and makes a nice small package when combined with my Proliant server. It has some of the more advanced features I was after like SNMP, VLANS and Port Trunking. It can be powered by PoE, but I wish it was PoE out. As such, I needed the power cord and it shipped with a big, bulky international cord and a flimsy adapter that sits on top of the prongs. It wiggled and sat loose in my UPS. You had to kind of wedge it in place to get it to stay. I contacted HP about it and they sent me a replacement US power cord at no cost.

quite, reliable, integrates with server management for HP Micro Servers.
works great with my HP micro server Gen8. Allows to access the remote management of the server right in the switch software. Wish there was a model with 16 ports. Is fan less, can be powered by PoE. is stackable with Microsserver. Has L2/L3 features like port trunking and Vlans... Its been an aesthetically pleasing and practical addition to the server setup in our small home office.
