Good book

I have a mini lathe of course so the reason for buying the book is obvious, however it is a good book with a lot of tips and projects.

Excellent reference.

Although a very well written book, it is skewed toward the more experienced hobby machinist. So if you are in that group, a great book. But if just beginning, you may want to start with something a little more basic.

Lot's of detail and loaded with photos that actually show something worthwhile. Should be a very good resource.

Practical uses for a mini-lathe.

David Fenner has great Utube videos but I misinterpreted the intent of this book. I was expecting a book about making projects using the Mini-Lathe, not just projects for the Mini-Lathe.

Good book, but expensive.

nice projects for making guides and accessories before you start your list of things you want to make. get this first!

This is a good little book if you are after a source of tweaks and improvements for your Mini-Lathe, the alterations and suggestions for improving the machine are extremely helpful. I have one basic criticism; it does not seem to have been properly proof-read and the absence of a few important drawings, measurements, and photographs has been allowed to slip through into print. This is irritating rather than a reason not to buy the book, as it is reasonably easy to work out what isn't shown , but it might put less experienced operators in a bit of a spin. I like the fact that there is a choice of designs for a taper turning attachment, and the four suggestions for coping with the annoying little habit the lathe has of having its gib strips going loose under the saddle. As I said, basically an excellent little book
