Was Not Expecting Such Quality and Loyalty to the Originals
While many other reviewers hit the nail square on the head I had to add my two cents! The studio that remastered these games was definitely on the ball with this one. They put the "master" in "remaster" without doubt. If you tell a nostalgia driven mad man that you're going to tweak a few things about his favorite childhood games when you remaster them, he may want to kill you. Yet, somehow, they figured out all the right things to change to make it perfect. From the gameplay to the graphics the games feel all around better than the originals, and by better I don't mean the graphics are just higher quality or that they added new gameplay. I mean it feels like the original graphics were boosted to the max, it still feels like crash. With the gameplay there are little quality of life upgrades hidden everywhere. These upgrades don't make the game feel like anything other than a straight upgrade to the originals unless you're a difficulty purist. The new saving makes the first game much less frustrating. After seeing this... I want to see Spyro from the same studo. My life would be complete if if Spyro were redone to this level of perfection and would seal the deal for making ps4 the all time greatest console in my life. If a 3 pack remaster for Spyro comes out at this level of quality for the ps4 I'll start collecting parts now and I'll be that guy with 4 working retro ps4s with all original game cases when he's 80.About the 5 stars: I guess whether this deserves 4 or 5 stars is a matter of perspective. If you are rating the pure quality of this remaster, then it deserves 6 stars in my eyes. If you are rating the games themselves then yeah I'd say the crash series deserves a solid 4 stars, they are still very fun and awesome to play with friends if you pass the controller around after every life lost or level won, which is incredible when lined up with modern games. With a product like this I'm not sure what you're supposed to be rating or reviewing since the makers didn't design the games. Their changes to the originals are 5 star changes, though, and that's what I'm rating here.

A brilliant remake of a classic!
This remaster of the Crash trilogy is incredible and a must buy for old fans; just going to get that out of the way. Getting to play these games in beautifully remade HD graphics is a real treat. One minor irritation I had was the 30 fps lock on the original ps4. I feel they could have gotten a locked 60, but still the game is very playable and the low frame rate doesn't kill the fun. As for controls, they are tight across all three games and all three allow for D-pad control as well as Analog stick control (an important inclusion for retro gamers). Control-wise there is a caveat for the first game. The hit boxes are more exact than they used to be, so if you land on the very edge of a platform you might slip off. Ironically, the precision of the new physics engine actually makes the remake harder than the original.Overall this is a great product and I highly recommend it.Rating: 8.5/10

Nostalgia in a box. Great for fans of the games, or newbies
The hit boxes seem smaller, game physics have been tweaked to make them similar across the three games, which does not lend well to Crash 1. I know multiple people who feel it makes Crash 1 harder (i agree). However! I understand the choice, and don't fault the developers too much. Plus, you get used to it. All in all, done very well. Graphics are beautifully done but still feel very true to the original. If this is the first time you are playing Crash, I advise starting with Crash 3 and working backwards. Or if you start with the first game and find it oddly difficult, jump to 2 or 3 and come back to 1 later ;)

Great game. It's fun and challenging
Great game. It's fun and challenging. Part 1 gets harder as you progress. Every time I failed at a mission I felt like it was my fault and I need to try again. It's a blast to play and they even added free dlc with stormy ascent. Crash 2 was fun and not as hard as crash 1 was but still a blast to play. With all new moves added to the game such as a slide. Just made the game even better. Some stages that was hard just came off as cheap to me. But it's still really great. Lots of replay to the crash games and a must buy. Crash 3 is probably the easiest out of the three but it has the best missions. Crash 3 will be having you go from riding a tiger to flying a plane to driving in a race. Overall crash bandicoot n. sane is a blast to play. Tones of fun and lots of replay to the game. A must have game. For everyone to play. A 10 out of 10 in my book.
