Easy set-up, lightweight and comfortable seat.
I purchased the Porta Potty in March 2018 but it stayed in the box because I didn't need it. Until a week ago when my town suffered a five-day power outage. August 2020. When there is a power outage my household is unable to use the toilet or shower as we are below grade and need to run waste water through a sewage ejection pump. No electricity, no toilets or showers. So life is extremely difficult if there's a prolonged power outage. This was the real reason for my purchase. We can wash then water the flowers in the garden but, go to the bathroom? It was easy to set up the Porta-Potty. I added a Walex Porta-Pak for deodorizing and to treat waste in the tank. When the power was restored I emptied it into the toilet and flushed. I hosed it down with clean water, let it dry and stored it for another time. Excellent product. If I was a camper this would be one item I'd definitely take with me.

Updated review
Updated: This company's customer service department reached out to me to ask what they could do to resolve this issue and make me satisfied. I am confident I just had a faulty item, and they offered to replace the unit or issue a refund. I chose the refund. I am sure had I requested a new one, it would have been just fine.Original post: I really, really wanted to like this. It's light, portable, functions well....except that it leaks. And not from the upper compartment where the clean water is. It leaks consistently from the bottom chamber where you unscrew the cap to dump it. I had to keep mopping the unclean water up from the floor until I figured out what was happening.

Great little toilet!
We use this toilet in our adventure van (a 2015 Ford Transit 250 in the process of being converted) while traveling on the weekends. It is small and does just what we need it to. Saves us trying to find a place to go late at night or early in the morning :-) Before each trip we drop in a Walex Porta-Pak deodorizer tabs (which one is WAY overkill for the size tank) and we never smell a thing. We've only used it for #1 so far and save #2 for a rest stop or other location. TMI! :-) Easy to fill, use and empty. Also easy to clean. The only reason we gave it 4 stars is because the seat is a bit small and the bowl is a bit shallow. Luckily we're smaller so it's not a big deal. Overall it's great and we'd recommend it for those times you just don't want to go behind a tree!

Shipping damage needs attention...
I had received the item 3 days ago and could hear a rattling sound when opening the Amazon shipping box with the Zimmer portable toilet box inside. Upon first sight of the Zimmer product box I found a damaged bottom corner on the box and a puncture in the cide of the box as if something small and sharp hed penetrated. Opening the box I found the toilet seat lid to be broken off at the hinge. The rest of the toilet seems to be o.k. but I didn't fill the tank with water to test for leaks in case I was subjected to shipping the whole thing back or not. I put the unit right back in the box and shipping box, sent Zimmer detailed e-mail about this with the e-mail address provided in the instruction sheet but have not received a reply yet. I will be fair and not rate this product until a new lid is shipped or however the process should go and then I can test the holding tanks for leaks. If all is well I will give a high rating. If nothing is done about this small problem then something undesirable otherwise.

Workd great.
It is what it is and works very well for it. Not difficult to use or to clean. I clean mine after every camping trip. It's great not to have to run up to the bathroom or go out to a porta potty in the middle of the night. So yeah it's worth is and makes camping better.

Works but very leaky
The media could not be loaded. The product is easy to dump and clean overall, but there are a few design issues. First and foremost, it is VERY leaky in two places: 1) the valve (as shown in my video) pulls waste liquid out, and 2) the water pump bellows seems to leak over time (probably from pressure and heat. Beyond that, the toilet seat does not really stay on well when lifted. From an aesthetic point of view, very cute, color choices are nice. Plastic shape and finish is nice. Waste tank seems to maintain its seal, though only time will tell. If you use an enzyme deodorizer and waste digester in the waste tank, it does minimize and control the doors that escape when you open the valve.Overall, this toilet does the trick, serves its purpose, but the leaks are not cool if you’re placing this in a tiny home or RV.

Well worth the cost
This product was well worth the cost in our first use after purchase. I camp in a pop up camper with myself and little kid and two dogs. Bathroom trips in the middle of the night were not realistic until now. We just set it up on the floor in the camper and even without the deodorant additive it did not stink the place up (we tried to only use it for urine, although the tiny human had one emergency deposit)It was simple enough to flush and use that the three year old had no problems and sturdy enough that I was able to use it with no problem.I was nervous dumping it, but I dumped most in the campground toilet then sprayed it out with the garden hose and bleach once we got home, let it stay open to dry and stored it away.
