well exceeded my expectations of buying specimens off amazon. there is a chemical smell coming off of the box which other reviews have over exaggerated its intensity. i couldn't tell it smelled until i purposely tried smelling it closer. there is no part on the back of the box for hanging on walls which was not a problem at all for me that was not my intention with it but if you wanted to hang it up keep that in mind. if you are considering purchasing this i highly recommend.

Beautiful specimen. Bought it already knowing it was a different species other than what was listed, but got it anyway because it’s still beautiful. This is not a bird eating spider, it’s actually what I believe may be a Thailand black tarantula.

I love this! I bought it as a Halloween decoration (boxed tarantula), and it is perfect. It's beautiful and really impressive and framed well. You can really see it well in the box, and the spider is in good condition.Full disclosure - It had a super strong, bad smell when I opened the package, probably from whatever is in that little box in the corner, but I put it (and the packaging) outside for a little while, and the smell dissipated. If you put your nose up to the box, you can smell it, but it's not strong at all.

Excellent product. I had the product shipped to my house to make sure it was a good quality display, I was not disappointed. I then shipped it across country to my granddaughter for Christmas (it was what she asked for). It was her favorite present.The mounting system used in the display is very well made and the specimen was excellent.

the spider is very detailed and rather large, size of an adult hand. the fangs are serious and it will scare some kids. the box is nice and square, but kids need to be supervised while handling product. the box gives off a mild chemical smell and the delivery is a wait.

this display is beautiful! it may take a wile to come in, but that is to be expected with insect displays and these particular ones are well worth the wait! well framed, clean glass (inside and and out) insects are set well. loved it!

This is awesome!! I have a collection of spiders and tarantulas in resin. I did buy a framed tarantula (same species as this one) off Etzy and paid double. I had no idea Amazon had one as well, which I purchased. This specimen is in better condition than the Etzy one
