WAVLINK AC1200 Outdoor WiFi Extender, Long Range Dual Band 2.4/5GHz Outdoor WiFi Extender Signal Booster, IP65 Weatherproof Access Point with PoE, Support AP/Repeater/Router Mode for Camping Yard

The Wavlink outdoor Wi‑Fi router has exceeded my expectations in every way. Its signal strength is impressive, delivering fast and reliable coverage across my entire outdoor area. Whether streaming, working, or managing smart devices, the connection remains solid and stable. The build quality also feels durable and well‑suited for outdoor weather conditions, giving me confidence that it will hold up long‑term. What truly set the experience apart was Wavlink’s customer service. When I discovered a broken part during setup, their support team responded immediately and handled the situation with exceptional professionalism. They quickly shipped a replacement and made sure everything was resolved without hassle. It’s rare to find a company that not only makes a great product but also stands firmly behind it. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied and highly recommend both the router and the company.

I'm giving it a thumbs up. First question, what are the con's? Only one thing that needs improvement. Better instructions for set up. Fortunately there are lots of Youtube videos out there showing people setting this thing up. So I figured it out but not without scratching my head a few times wondering what I was doing wrong. Ok, so for the good part. Once it was set up......correctly..... It worked great. In fact it did better than I expected. I live on a 4 acre lot that is longer than it is wide. The lot has a house, swimming pool barn and a garden behind the barn. It is 360 feet to the barn from the back of my house. I set the extender by my pool which is half way between the barn and the house. I get full service out of this little antenna from the road in front of my house all the way to the garden behind my barn. That is a huge area. So absolutely no complaints about the range, signal or speed. I'm sure some folks may get a little different range due to environment, buildings, and various obstructions but I can say I'm thrilled with the product. I recommend it.

If you select the first option in the “instructions” it bricks the device, and you can’t talk to it. Trying to reset now, but I’m not at all impressed with any of this order. This item, or any of the other items I ordered for this install. I still haven’t seen the bolts for the mount, apparently delivering the entirety of your order, is too much to ask. Update: 2 HOURS LATER, I’ve finally gotten the GUI to function on a computer, don’t bother trying with a phone, it doesn’t work. This is the last time that I will be trying to put this piece of GARBAGE in repeater mode, before I either send it back, or run it over with my truck - haven’t decided yet. Won’t connect to the internet, GUI doesn’t let you change the mode, GUI doesn’t work on phones, wifi doesn’t connect as a range extender, “mesh mode” bricks the device. Long story short, buy something else, this isn’t worth the pain. Update: Tried again today, STILL cant get this pile of trash to work for some reason, I thought I had gotten it to work, and then couldn't figure out why it wasn't on the internet, but I could connect to it....IT'S PLUGGED INTO THE INTERNET!!!! This device woudn't have POWER if it wasn't plugged into the internet - yet here I sit, no internet outside, but I have this stupid device that I can connect to.....to disable the internet on whatever device I'm on??

After getting a response from the manufacturer, and several emails and a few weeks of troubleshooting, the manufacturer did resolve this issue. They sent me a new unit and did not request that I return the old unit. I configured the new unit, and it seems to be working correctly now. So, something failed in the first unit that I received where the 2.4G band stopped working, which is what is needed for my outdoor IP cameras. I hope that this new unit will last more than 1.5 months. So we will see what happens. I do appreciate the manufacturer working with me to resolve this. I updated my review to 4 stars.

This is the most powerful extender i have ever owned by far. Excellent coverage and reliability. i cannot say it was easy to set up. It took repeated attempts until i got just the right settings. But there were some helpful Youtube videos on my model, and some other helpful webpages and i eventually got it. i am not a TCP/IP wifi expert, so some of the menu choices were uncertain. The manual appears to be Chinese in origin, next extensive, but don't give up on it. It has not wintered yet, but seems well designed and durable. The POE works great and gives direct access with a second ethernet cable. Aesthetically it looks very scientific. i recommend it and if it fails i will edit this review.

I went thru a couple of repeaters before i landed on this one. This thing rules Im a big fan, super easy to setup, Im using it on a Metal building, the building kills all signals from getting in. This thing was powerful enough to supply wifi while just setting up inside the building. Once i mounted it outside and ran a ethernet cord inside to a separate Access point I have just as fast internet as inside my main house.

The setup instructions are very difficult to follow & customer/tech service was of very little help. Better step-by-step procedures with pics are need. Also, instructions do not seem to coordinate with iPhones and IOS versions. However, we did get it set up for remote purposes & associated network power is excellent.

We have multiple units already installed, never had an issue. They did something new to the set up where you have to go online and set it up and it goes between two different set up pages to get it going. Way to convoluting and it’s even crashing the unit itself causing it to lose connection and wifi. Never ordering it again unless they revert it back to the original set up they had
