Banding for thin edges
Bought this to line all the edges of a horse stall for my granddaughter's toy horses. I used thin birch wood for the main panels, but the edges easily chipped off, making it look bad as well as leaving sharp edges that could give her splinters. I soaked strips of the banding in water, which made it pliable enough to fold over the edges and then carefully ironed them on. I had already stained and applied finish to the wood, and it adhered well. It did split slightly in a few places, but considering it really wasn't made for this use, it worked quite well, and months later it is still all intact. I made a lot of mistakes and had to be inventive at times for many parts of the project, but for the banding, it went perfectly.

Sticks fine, better than other brands I've found on AMZ
I see some complaints relating to adhesion - this was not my experience. This could very well be down to inconsistency in manufacturing, but in my experience this outperformed 2 others brands that I have used. Specifically, this product did not tear-out while trimming, and once adhered to a prepared surface it does not readily separate. It does help to ensure that you are using a heat source that is appropriate for the task. Caveat: once again, Your Mileage May Vary - but I had absolutely no problems with this. If you find that you struggle with adhesion, you CAN purchase separate heat-bonding adhesives and supplement if you encounter difficulties... Although many would consider this not worth the time and effort, it helps to cut down on waste in the shop. Adhesive is cheap - but so is edge banding, so you do you!

Useful for Exacting/Exacting Woodwork (Japanese sword scabbard).
Exactly what I needed to carefully shim a wooden scabbard of my sword which I use in my lessons and practice performing the Japanese Martial Art of the Samurai Sword. I ordered a custom iaito (unsharpened blade sword) from the master sword smiths of NOSYUDO in Seki City, Japan. The iaito was made during winter humid months in Seki City. I had asked Nosyudo to not make the mouth/koiguchi of the iaito saya/scabbard too tight because of arthritis in my hands. When the sword reached my residence in much warmer and dryer California, the koiguchi of the saya/scabbard was too loose causing my iaito to fall out of the saya any time I bent over and could not secure it with my thumb (eg in the katas itomagoi sono ichi, itomagoi sono ni, etc.). I did research and watched videos on how to shim tighten the mouth (koiguchi) of my saya:scabbard using as close to the Japanese traditional way as possible. This thin birch tape was the perfect answer for my being able to make the perfect shimming repair. I no longer have the problem of my iaito slipping/falling out of the saya/scabbard. This roll of birch tape has a generous amount of length. Worth the price.

Professional look overall
Installing the edging worked best with a heat gun vs a blow dryer, Adhesive was average, some areas adhered well while some spots kept lifting. The areas where the edging is connected to create the continuous link are very visible and will not blend well when painted. I had more waste by trying to avoid these sections. The edging is easy to cut. I used 220 sand paper to blend the areas where the edging was too wide for the project edge after trimming. Be careful not to over sand the edging. I found both the 1/2 in and 3/4 in are both wider than 1/2 in and 3/4 in plywood. Expect extra time to trim the excess. The edging is flexible and easy to use when working with curved edges. Overall, the edging still gave my projects a professional look.

Hard to adhere, contains connection marks
Meh. This is my first time using edge banding, so I have morning to compare this to. But, it wasn't the easiest to adhere with the iron. It took a lot of work to get a good adherence, which was frustrating trying to keep it in place while ironing. Secondly, there are lots of connection markings throughout the strip. Which shows through, even with paint. Next project I will be trying a different brand.

the adhesive is not strong enough
The adhesive is not strong enough and I have to apply contact glue to make sure it bond well.

Great price but lots of finger splices in banding
easy to install with old iron and tweak with blow dryer. no problem with splinters or scorching, but lots of finger joint splices which were visible after finishing with dark walnut stain and clear coat. I was using for utility shelves in basement, but don't use in your kitchen unless you are painting with solid color!
