Perfect for straining yogurt
I bought this to try and strain honey from the honeycomb. It worked so poorly you should chase that thought from your mind with pitchforks and torches! BUT, we started making yogurt again shortly after they honey fiasco, so I though I’d try it instead of buying cheesecloth and it worked better than I could have hoped. I have a YoLife yogurt maker that can take three 1qt mason jars. I put a strainer over a large tub and the bag goes inside. Pour the yogurt in and let it sit from anywhere between 1 (Greek style) and 3 hours (yogurt cheese). The yogurt whey passes through and almost none of the milk solids do. To speed things along I can even squeeze the bag like a frosting bag and the yogurt stays put. When done, the yogurt doesn’t really stick to the bag either, so we just dump it into large container. Cleanup is just hand washing in the sink. I never thought I’d write such a glowing review for a bag, but this really shines for yogurt making.

excellent quality
I have been round and round with bags over the past 3-4 years between kava, cold brew and crushed leaf teas. I've tried them all!.....lol. Not really, but have tried enough and I think these will be the new addition to the shop for a while. They seem very well put together and clean. I will be trying the large size tomorrow for cold brew and the small size this afternoon for kava. I expect them to perform fine and clean well. I will update review in a month or so to comment on durability.

Durable and Well Made: Not for Finer Grinds
This is a solid, well-made mesh bag. However, it does have some limitations when it comes to what I specifically bought it for, which was cold brew coffee. The bag will stain from the coffee grinds, not a big deal to me, just thought I'd mention it. Another issue is that the coffee grinds can get into the drawstring opening and are pretty much impossible to get out. The last issue I had with it is that if you go any finer than a coarse grind, sediment will pass through the bag. Other than those issues, it has done everything I've asked of it. I imagine it would work well with all the other things people would want to soak and strain through it, just be careful with how ground up your material is.

The perfect press bag for saucepan sized batches.
I bought this bag for one purpose: To extract juice from cooked chokecherries. I sought a way to maximize the juice yield (I really hate throwing away product!). I also wanted a fairly concentrated juice. And I didn't want to spend a lot of money. This bag has been perfect. Its size is an excellent match vis-à-vis the batch size I prefer. A cider bag would be much too big. It is also very strong - stronger than one might think. I squeeze the bag rather slowly and gently between wooden blocks using an ordinary hand-pumped hydraulic shop press . The yield is excellent yet the pits remain whole (I don't want any cyanide in my jelly :) ). Clean-up is easy with a nylon bristle brush and a little dish soap. The bag easily is turned inside out for cleaning. I really couldn't be happier with the way this bag has solved my juice extraction problem.

Wonderful for making wine.
This works perfect for wine making. This bag fit perfectly in my crock. We rolled the edges of the bag over the edge of the crock. Then we put the fruit in the bag and let it ferment. When we're ready to transfer the wine out of the crock, this made clean up so easy. Just grabbed the bag, emptied it of the fruit, and turned the bag inside out to clean it. This bag made the whole process so easy. It worked great for filtering. This would work great for anything you need to strain or filter.

Large
I got these to use for home wine making. I'm generally using small half inch size cubes for poking my wine. If one was using staves these would be a good size bag for that. Good value just started using it, seems like a quality product.

Works great!
Works well. Had to make modifications to use it in my system. Bought a different one before this and threw it away.

Not for use with foods or aquarium substrate
I know people often buy these for tea or milking almonds. The quality and size are nice but it has a strong detergent or softener smell that I was never able to wash out. The smell was not offputing but nothing I'd want near food. I wanted to rinse sand for an aquarium but that perfume cannot be good for them. Otherwise it arrived very clean and sturdy so if you need it for another use, it's as listed and the stitching is well done.
