I found out about Quilling and was looking for a good kit to get me started with all the main tools but wanted one where I could progress with it to more advanced designs as I knew I would go through the beginning shapes quickly. I spend a day comparing kits and what they had and looking for a great starter but one with enough to keep on Quilling into intermediate. This kit kept coming out on top in all the comparisons I did so I ordered it. It is just fantastic. I got all the tools I needed for getting started and moving on to intermediate level quilling. It contained a notable amount of stripes in different sizes so I could start right away without worrying I would run out of paper. It also has some things other kits did not have like the card stock with oval openings so you could make 3d quilled cars and a few sheets of cardstock to us as I wanted. The quality was excellent, from the tools to the paper strips. The entire kit cam packed in the box that comes with the set - often when you get a case its of a smaller cheaper kind and never holds everything that came with the package. This storage case held all the items in the package with room to spare if you want to add on other tools or paper etc. It's a very sturdy storage case of good quality. I am going to be able to make a great many projects out of this set and only needed to add batteries for the winding tool and some glue. It is a bit more expensive then some of the other kits but it had a few extras that the others did not and a larger supply of paper. It was well worth the price.

I tend to thoroughly read item description when I am making an online purchase. I read all of the standard blurbs one sees when looking at quilling kits and randomly recalled a statement from the distributor re: quality of their quilling paper. I dismissed it but noted that I do not see that referenced all that often in these statements. When I received the kit, the distributor descriptions came to mind. I thought to myself, "How different can the paper really be? The answer is... very different. Quilling paper typically has a smooth side and a slightly rougher side. Many quillers roll the rough side to the inside of the coil and apply glue to that area. This paper felt smooth on both sides, had great (GREAT) adhesion, and looked oh-so-uniform in result. Additionally, when I would remove strips from multi-color packs, I got one strip, neat and clean, without several others trailing behind. I don't know what these makers are doing differently in production of the strips but viva le difference! As for the rest of the kit, the tools function well, the assortment of supplies is excellent, and you will stay happily quilling for a long while. Highly recommend!

This kit is fantastic! Sooooo much stuff in one container. You do need to purchase the glue but the kit has the bottle with the tiny tube.

Love it. Excellent functionality for both beginners and beyond; I see several of the included tools that I am currently not using, being used by more advanced quillers on YouTube. The various sizes of paper strips and quilling tools that are included have made it a lot easier to experiment. I am really glad I picked this one self-contained kit vs. buying individual smaller items which I can see I'd have outgrown quickly and required to augment as I realized 'what else' I needed as a beginning quiller. I was easily able to create 5+ cards within the first couple of days of usage itself. Oh, almost forgot to mention - the electric slotted pen needle is totally worth it - makes it incredibly faster and easier.

I was astonished at all the items that came with this kit. It took a while to just remove the cellophane around each item. The kit has everything one would possibly need to start quilling. There was even a battery operated paper twirler thing (don't know what it's called). It uses two AAA batteries but those were not included. There are no instructions on how to put the batteries inside. There is a nice glue bottle, but no glue came with it. If you are new to quilling, you may want to buy a book or watch You Tube videos to learn how to quill. That information is not included with the kit. Overall, the kit has numerous items in it like scissors, tweezers, quilling pens, quilling forms, loads of quilling paper in various sizes and colors. It's almost hard to get the box lid closed because there's so much stuff in it!

I am very impressed with the amount of items I received and the quality of everything. I was shocked at how huge this set is. I’m so excited to get started and learn how to do quilling. Everything a beginner would need to get started and more. I bought a quilling set from my local craft store and paid $20 for it. It only has 3 tools, a circle sizer ruler, 1 pad of small strips, small tube of glue and 2 cards. It came in a plastic box about the size of a pencil box. The items in this set are far better quality than the store bought set. The paper in this set is very nice and is thick the other set was almost as thin as printer paper. The tools are far better quality and easier to use. All of this for under $40! As far as no instructions, that isn’t a concern for me because I look up everything on You Tube when I’m learning something new. I was watching the videos while I was waiting for this set to arrive.

I've been neglecting my inner artist for way too long. I saw completed paper quilling art online and thought it was so pretty, so I decided to get a kit and try it. As a beginner, this kit looked like more than enough to get started. After having it and using it for awhile now, I can't imagine what else would be needed even as I develop my skill. The patterns/instructions in the kit didn't help me because they were not in English, but I watched videos on YouTube to learn some basics. There's a learning curve as with anything new, but I was able to get started right away after watching some videos. Here are some other things I didn't know that may help someone else. 1. Whether you're following one of the patterns in the kit or developing your own patterns, a light pad will help you follow your pattern and get the quilled paper placed in the right spot. 2. There are special craft glues that are supposed to dry clear and help you keep your work neat. I bought 3 kinds of glue after reading how great they were for quilling, but the only glue that dries clear and doesn't show up in my designs is plain old Elmer's glue. 3. You will really need good lighting in your workspace. I bought a desk lamp to supplement the light in my home. 4. To get the glue applied evenly on the bottom portion of your paper strips, it helps to spread a thin layer of glue on a surface, such as a frisbee or large yogurt lid--then spread the glue out into a thin layer. When you dip your paper into the glue, try to set it in evenly so the entire surface gets coated at the same time. 5. Too little glue is better than too much! I hope those tips will be helpful. If you're considering this kit, I highly recommend it.

Kit completo che in una pratica e resistente scatola di plastica: contiene tutto l'occorrente per creare modelli da semplici a più elaborati. Gli accessori sono in plastica spessa e resistente mentre le forbici sono affilate e permettono tagli netti. Gli schemi presentati hanno le spiegazioni in cinese ma sono comunque intuitivi. Tuttavia, perlopiù non sono molto invitanti, a parte un paio. La scatola contiene anche una buona offerta di strisce da 3, 5 e 10mm ma se volete creare qualche modello più impegnativo o grande, consiglio di acquistare ulteriori strisce a parte. L'avvolgicarta a batteria è un accessorio fantastico che velocizza molto il lavoro eliminando il senso di noia che può prendere ad arrotolare a mano decine di strisce (ed evita il male alla mano). Ottimo prodotto che fa proprio venire voglia di creare. Consegna addirittura due giorni in anticipo.

Having bought two different sets (both for first time quilters, and each set from different sellers/manufacturers) this is definitely the better set. The tools are better quality, plastic, but not not that cheap Christmas cracker plastic. The scissors are very sharp and precise. There are some templates to get you started (the designs are questionable, but they’re as good a place to start as any). The selection of lengths, widths and colours of the paper strips is brilliant. And the plastic box to keep it all in is very sturdy and plenty big enough to add more tools, paper etc. as your collection grows. I’m very impressed and would definitely recommend this set to anyone looking to either learn or enhance their quilling abilities.
