Great for Shin Splints
I am over 60, walk about 4 miles daily and started getting shin splints. Podiatrist suggested that it was probably my falling arches, so I googled and found these insoles. My son works in healthcare and wears Dr Scholls insoles . My previous insoles were $100 , these are less than $20 .They are awesome, hope it last. Inexpensive and so far, so good. Immediately, no shin splints. It states that you can trim these, but mine fit in my sneakers. So, cannot speak to the trimming .

good but the widest women’s ones i’ve had, might as well mark it as wide
the toe part is sooooo wide. i’m a size 6 and had to cute it down more than that, even had to cut thru the super thick part. The insole itself is okay, i walk 30k miles every time i work and they help but only for the first few hoursuntil my feet and ankles hurt but that might just be inevitable.

Supported Balls of Feet
The Dr. Scholl's Sport massaging Gel insoles worked well for me after the balls of my feet seem to ache and be sore after playing tennis doubles. It seems that most insoles are specifically designed for plantar fasciitis, which I do not have, yet at least. The Dr. Scholl's insoles are made of rubber, which from a tennis activity perspective, seemed to do much better for the impact to the balls of my feet, as opposed to the FeelLife Orthotic insoles that I previously tried and bought on Amazon. The FeelLife's are made from multiple materials including foam, no rubber. So I'm thinking the rubber insoles are more for sports shoes. The Dr. Scholl's were less supportive in the arch and thinner than the FeelLife's. The FeelLife insoles are a bit thicker and do take up space in your shoes so you will need to remove the old, worn insoles. The FeelLife does have a better arch support, but they are specifically designed for plantar fasciitis. I'm keeping both insoles as the Dr. Scholl's will work best for tennis and the FeelLife insoles work well in my gym shoes as well as the everyday walking shoes. It's such a shame that you pay so much for a good pair of tennis shoes and the insoles are never descent.

Makes my flat, old-school sneakers feel like modern athletic shoes
For various reasons, old-fashioned, rubber-toe, canvas lace-up sneakers are my go-to footwear for 90% of my days. The shoes are easy to find, somewhat reasonably priced, and have that great rock-n-roll aesthetic. What they don't have is the arch support or energy return (cushy bounce) of modern athletic shoes. These Run-Active Comfort insoles mostly solve that problem, turning my old-timey gym shoes into something more curved to fit my foot and more supportive for the plus size body my feet have to carry around. I can't say how these would perform in dress shoes - they might be a little too thick and crowd the shoe. I can't say what they would do inside an actual modern running or athletic shoe - again, it might be too much to shove in there and still have room for a foot. For the classic canvas low-tops that I'm wearing, they are perfect. Have put them in all my pairs and been wearing them daily for about 3 months now; definitely can feel the change in pain relief in my feet and better endurance when going on long walks. Definitely recommending these, even for us plus-side folks.

These are more like men’s inserts than women’s
I bought these after researching they are the replacement for the women’s run inserts that were pink. They’re not. They are huge. These are not the same and trimming these are like trimming a men’s insert. They were marked women’s, however, these are either wide or a totally different model and not the replacement. There’s only so much to trim on the sides due to the structure of the insert. They’re bigger in my shoes even after trimming. They have the same type of support but I’m assuming meant for a wide shoe.

No more shin splint pain
1 month trying to recover shin splints and pain wouldn't go away.... I put these on, and 2 days later no pain... I feel like a dummy. Definitely keeping them on everyday and during my runs. I HIGHLY recommend for shin splints.

I’d Recommend…
Super comfortable. I was having pain in my feet when walking due to gaining some weight. These seem to really help!

Doesn't actually go up to size 9
They're fine for running but just be aware that the largest size (the size it is without cutting it) is not a 9. It is a full size smaller than the insoles that came with my size 9 running shoes so my toes hang off the edge, which is not ideal.

Not comfy for me
I’m always buying Dr Scholls and decided to try this category for my gym shoes since it says are suitable for running but doesn’t even fit on the shoe, the sole it’s too wide and uncomfortable on the arch. Waste. Prefer the athletic series for any purpose.
