I purchased this trash can specifically for our recyclable bottles and cans. It is a great trash can. I like the big and wide opening and it is overall a great size trash can for what we use it for. This is not a trash can if you are trying to keep dog out of your trash as it is easy for a larger dog to knock over and spill. I am not say this trash can is not durable because it is and sturdy but we know how determined large pets can be. I do think this is a great trash can over all. The foot pedal is a nice feature and the top does hold trash bags very well.

Our county quit doing recycling so I needed a bigger trash container. I like this one. It holds a lot of trash.I like that it has the things to hold bags in place and the step on lid opener.

I wanted a bin a little bigger than the standard 13 gallon. It works fine but the step is lopsided. Doesn’t affect operation though

I love this trash can. It's very large and for a family of 5, it holds everything needed. Very sturdy and had no issues with breaking or taking hits from the kids.

The media could not be loaded.  Haven’t had this trashcan very long and I had bought a previous one and it lasted me for a couple years. Until the lids started to start coming off I decided it was good enough. I’d try it again. I haven’t even had this for two months and the lid has broke. We’re at hinges open on the sides. It basically busted right through because the material is so thin plastic. I paid about almost $50 for this trashcan thinking I would get at least two years out of it like I did on the previous model. I also noticed that the trashcan is shorter than the previous model and it seems like things are getting a lot cheaper nowadays I probably would never purchased this again. Save your money and go to your local Walmart or heck maybe even your local dollar store.

This large capacity works well with the febreeze scented bags(pictured). The tight seal of the garbage can, with foot opening, leaves a nice smelling space. The stretch in the bags and capacity of the quality can allows for heaps of refuse!The device keeps the bag in place perfectly.

The garbage can ships with the top part unattached, you have to push it in until it clicks. The lid has an annoying habit of popping free, forcing you to push it back in. Otherwise, it's a very good garbage can.

I used to have a small flip-top garbage can in my kitchen, but it became full very quickly. I also had to break down some garbage items, like long Styrofoam meat trays, to get them in. I finally decided the solution was to buy a bigger garbage can, one that could take black bags. This garbage can is FANTASTIC. Lots of space, easy to clean, works well every time. My one very small niggle is that when you're taking the garbage bag out, it can get caught slightly under the liftable flaps that are designed to keep the bag in place while in use. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this garbage can, and would buy it again if I ever needed to. It's worth the money.

I thought that I was buying a sturdy garbage can for our staff kitchen space and unfortunately the garbage can broke with the first use, literally filling a garbage bag with the packaging material from the rest of our Amazon order. Must have had a hairline crack from shipping.Do not recommend.
