Rough And Rugged New Zealand Rugby Players Play Hard and Love Hard
I received a free ARC copy in exchange for my honest review. This is my own opinion and was not influenced by anyone. All stories are a quick read full of romance.JaxonThis second chance romance is a quick read that ends happily ever after. Jaxon is a big, muscly rugby player who has his heart locked up tight. His high school sweethear, Layla, blindsided him by leaving town without telling him. Upon seeing her he forgets the hurt and wants the love back.Layla left town after a disappointment. She feels she isn't good enough for Jax nor a good enough photographer for career she wants.I really enjoyed the teasing with his teammates, I wish there was more included in the story.Since is a a short story, there isn't a lot of background or character development but for what it is, it's a good reunited romance. These two really are able to provide a support to the other to reach their goals.KaiKai is a pro rugby player in New Zealand and the love of his life is Jade. Unfortunately she is also the baby sister of his teammate and best friend, Ryder. She doesn't know about his feelings, nor he know hers. Kai goes as far as avoiding Jade just so that he doesn't have to see her as it makes his heart hurt. When they finally reveal their true feelings to each other, their romance while steamy is very sweet. He supports her in following her dreams. He sees her as a woman rather than a little girl, like her brother. What will happen when Ryder finds out that they are hiding a relationship? Will he disown Jade like Kai's father did to him? Will he lose his best friend and Jade her brother, the only family she has left? This quick read is book two in A NZ Rugby Romance. There's mention of Jax and his mystery woman who are from book one, Jaxon. Other than that reference and the same characters in both books, the order isn't important. This happily ever after romance is like a first love. It will make your heart warm.ManuManu lost the only girl he ever wanted. He left his hometown when she wouldn't even notice him to play rugby. But he can't forget her.Liv always watched Manu infatuated but she was too shy to say anything. Now he and his team are back in town for a rugby game. Will he even remember her? Should she even be thinking about a man? She has a young daughter at home to think about.Manu is a strong alpha who doesn't plan on letting Liv slip through his fingers again. Their reunion is sweet but it rapidly increases in intensity as they spill their hidden love for another.Manu may be a big, intimidating guy but the relationship he forms with Rosie, Liv's daughter made me smile. He is so gentle and she has him wrapped around her little finger. We are also getting to know Manu's teammates better. Two are from previous books and two are yet to be published. Their camaraderie and brotherhood is great to see. They tease each other constantly but knowing they have each's neverending support.Manu is the third book in the NZ rugby stories. Each is a standalone romance with the guys making appearances in the other's stories. The reading order will not hinder your enjoyment of the stories. Best of all it ends on a happily ever after.GrayGray: A NZ Rugby Romance is book four in the series and the guys are back. They are all standalone romances with happily ever afters.Gray has been a player with the Auckland team for two years now. He knows the real damage a girl can do to him and plans to avoid another one at all costs. He spots a redhead across the field that takes his breath away.Piper is newly employed with the Auckland newspaper and she's hoping to score an interview with the rugby coach. Across the field she sees Gray. Athletes are no longer her type. She will not let a man drag her down again. Or so she keeps telling herself.A chance encounter the next morning has Gray and Piper meeting. Trying to steel herself to him she almost runs away from him but fate puts her address in his hands. This instant love story is short and heated. Piper is a strong woman who says what she thinks. Gray prioritizes what he wants and has the courage to tell her. The epilogue will make you swoon.Their romance is fast and sweet but I liked it. Both characters are very likeable and I was happy when they got together. Other than reason they both are hesitant to enter a relationship, we don't have a lot of background about either character. The little bit we do have though is enough to satisfy. I also loved that Gray's rugby brothers are back. Their teasing of Gray, who comes off as the youngest brother is fun. Gray is an all around enjoyable read.RyderRyder is the fifth book in the NZ Rugby series. Each book is a standalone with no cliffhanger. All the guys from the team are brothers and figure in all the books. Together they form a true family.Ryder is the self proclaimed sexiest guy on the rugby team. He lives for rugby, his little sister Jade, and his brothers. He lost his parents in a car accident and keeps everyone except the Jade and his teammates at a distance. Ryder uses one night stands to try and fill the something inside of him that is missing.Stella is a childhood rival of Ryder. She always secretly like Ryder and when she sees him in the bar, she can't resist. Straight laced Stella decides she wants to be wild and agrees to one night only with him. After one night with Ryder she pushes him away. She wants a relationship but knows he is a playboy. When she finds out she's pregnant, she doesn't know what to do.Stella has spunk and is a strong female character. She gives it to Ryder as much and as well as he gives it to her. Ryder has the attitude of the player and party boy. Being with Stella opens him up and he is not afraid. He wants a forever with Stella. I like these characters a lot and for a short story they are well developed. I do wish we had gotten more story showing their transformations.Another great read from Eva Foxx. Ryder is the perfect addition to the series. Each player is unique and so are the women they find their happily ever after with.
