Great vertical 2nd monitor
I got this monitor to use as a 2nd monitor in a vertical orientation. The 16:10 aspect ratio makes it perfect for this, it's wide enough to display notes/slack/spotify - pretty much anything and still be really usable. The quality of the screen is excellent, the IPS panel is nice and vibrant and delivers a nice picture. Obviously not as crisp as QHD or 4k would be, but this is why I'm using this as a 2nd monitor and not my main. I think I am going to order a 3rd so I can have 2 vertical monitors either side of my big 4k.Great screen.

Nothing to fault
Great general purpose monitor. Cannot fault. Fair price. I particularly wanted 16:10 to give greater screen height when working on documents or CAD drawings. Sharp, low power (important when on all day), high brightness, even backlight illumination, looks good, landscape/portrait rotation, height adjustable, minimal bezel, no flicker that I have noticed when turning the brightness down, colour accuracy looks fine (no calibrator to check though). DP, HDMI, DVI, VGA inputs. For my use I do not need the USB element.

I would like to give it 5 stars, but...
I would give it 5 stars if it weren't for one problem: it has too much backlighting. This problem is worse if you are close to it on a small desk like mine. The correct distance is about a metre away from your face. I thought about returning it, but I think I can adapt. I liked the size and the 1920 x 1200 resolution.

Nice display, but USB ports hard to locate
Dell monitors are great quality and provide a restful eye experience when using them. But the downside is locating the various lead ports and USB ports. To do that successfully you need to feel your way to them or turn the entire screen horizontal to look underneath and locate the various lead ports, which is a nuisance, or you can just position a mirror underneath and find them that way. There is also no back plate to hook a mini-computer out of site.
