It does its function well. The app is easy to set up and set a schedule. It might seem like a lot at first, but after you have it scheduled you think "that's it?" It comes with a metal bowl inside a plastic bowl. The metal bowl is lower capacity, for smaller animals, which makes noise when the food hits it, and the underlying plastic bowl is bigger. My cat was afraid of it the first time or two (it does make a grinding/whirring noise when dispensing), but then started getting excited when he heard the food being dispensed (except for the fact that it wasn't me dispensing it). It even lets you record your own announcement that the food is being dispensed. It has button controls, which I haven't tried extensively, but I think you really want the app for setting schedules and such. The app does give them the opportunity to "inform" you of their other offerings, but they're not persistent about it; it triggers at certain points in the app, but only once (from what I've seen after about a month of use). It doesn't show other ads (and if they add external ads, I will stop using it and severely drop the rating of this review). It will bug you to replace the dessicant packet once it's time, though. For those that need it, it can be set to dispense up to 4 cups at a time. I don't think the bowl it comes with could hold that much. For under a cup, it sets by 1/12 of a cup, which lets you set it right for "grazers" if you want/need; I haven't tried it, but I understand you can set it to dispense up to 10 times per day. Downsides: When closing the lid, it requires a specific position for the lock tabs to drop, and then you turn again to lock. This can lead to a lot of spinning the lid to close it The announcement speaker is very low quality. The first time I heard my custom announcement, it just sounded like a scratchy blob. Turning the volume up helps a bit, but max volume is still pretty quiet. In a time when you can get a cheap Bluetooth speaker that's better than the boom boxes of yore, it's hard to imagine that they couldn't find a half-way decent speaker that doesn't cut profits to a noticeable degree. The stock announcements are very matter-of-fact, and not how anyone would call a cat or dog for food. There's a man and a woman, and it sounds like they didn't know why they were saying the line; it's more like they're telling you to feed them, rather than calling the animal. This is something that they could fix with an update, and I hope they do. I think it would be a plus if there were multiple to choose from, each calling/telling the animal in different ways. I think it would make it more fun for a lot of people. They just need to be recorded by pet owners. Getting it to use the custom announcement took a few tries. It'll upload to the machine and show a checkmark, and you'll think it's done, but you need to tap that checkmark until a green icon covers it. It has to send the recording, and then the setting, to the feeder via Bluetooth, so it's possible that it might not happen right the first time. -- If I could give it an honest number of stars, it would probably be 4.7 or 4.8. I think it's a great machine and would definitely buy again.

5L fits a 5lb bag of food perfectly. I use this product to feed my cat in the mornings. After you set the schedule, it is comforting knowing the app lets you know when food has been dispensed so you know your cat/dog/other is being fed! I double check every few days out of habit but have never had a problem. It also gives you accurate low food warnings. Once in a while it has network connection issues which tend to resolve itself fairly quickly. My cat has small kibble so I have never had issues with the food dispensing. I actually just took it apart to clean it today which was a breeze. One of my requirements for a feeder was that it could be cleaned everywhere the food touches, and this one can. Very easy to put back together. Just remember to test dispense a few times, as it may not dispense any kibble on the first go around after cleaning. You can also save a buck by buying off brand moisture absorbing packs made for food, although I buy the recommended ones to support the brand. This is an excellent, not complicated product that integrates technology just enough but not too much. Exactly what I needed. Edit: I traveled out of country for a couple weeks, and the feeder had network connection issues for a few hours. After I had touched ground at my destination, though, the feeder continued on as normal based on the time zone I had set it up in. I continued to receive the normal notifications that my cat was being fed and I confirmed it was at the correct time based on those who I had looking after my cat while I was gone. I will add that this brand is top notch when it comes to making sure their customer base is happy. They send email notifications when there is a wide spread network connection issues, etc. Edit: Going on nearly 2 years and this feeder still works wonderfully! No rusting of screws or breakdown of any components from the numerous times I have taken it apart to clean it. I noticed the feeder, for a while anyhow, disconnected randomly at 3am multiple times in a row. The brand (or maybe my internet provider) seemed to catch this problem, though, and now I no longer have this issue. Always wonderful to have a product from a brand that consistently cares about their customer base. Note this feeder does not require a subscription for basic needs.

I have been on a roll reviewing a lot of cat related products lately, but this PETLIBRO automatic cat feeder has honestly been the most useful and brilliant one so far. The setup process was very simple. All I had to do was plug it into the outlet, connect it to WiFi, and pair it with the app. Once connected, everything became extremely easy to control. The app is probably my favorite part because it gives you full control over feeding times and portion sizes. You can choose exactly when you want food to come out and how much food gets dispensed. It will not release food unless you set it to, which makes it very reliable and convenient. One feature that really stood out to me is the voice function. When the feeder dispenses food, it can announce that it is mealtime, and you can even choose how many times the message repeats so your cat hears it clearly. What makes it even cooler is that you can record your own voice instead of using the default message. I was able to say my cat’s name and call him over for food, which made the experience feel much more personal. Another really smart feature is the indicator light on the feeder. If the food level gets too low, the button glows red to let you know it needs to be refilled. That is such a helpful detail and shows that a lot of thought went into the design of this product. One thing I do want to mention for new users is that during the first couple of feeding cycles, the portions might not come out perfectly exact. It may release a little more or a little less food than what you selected at first. Do not panic or think something is wrong with the feeder. That only happened because the product was freshly set up. After using it a couple more times, it started dispensing the portions accurately and has worked perfectly ever since. Overall, this feeder feels modern, convenient, and very well designed. It has made feeding my cat so much easier, especially on busy days, and I genuinely think this is one of the best pet products I have purchased.

The quality and fit are exactly what you’d expect since they are the same brand as the feeder itself; they are specifically designed for these units, so there is no fumbling or trying to force a generic bag into a space it doesn't belong. Incoming lengthy review so here's the TLDR/most important stuff to note: - Easy machine set up - 2.5 & 5G with great wifi reach for app access - Dual power source with a lengthy adapter and option for 2 or 3 D batteries (batteries are not included, but not both at the same time are required) - Large food tank that dispenses 2-15mm sized kibble, and a window screen to see how full the tank is - Portions are super accurate (try manually dispensing a few times to make sure your machine is the same) - Desiccant bag for freshness (Slight con: these have to be replaced & bought separately every 2 weeks so it can add up. 1 is included in your order.) - EASY app interface, with easy set up - Scheduled feedings, with customization for a certain time and portion per scheduled feeding - 1/12 fraction system, but easy to convert online if you Google it (i.e. 1/4 cup = 3/12 cup) - Alerts for when desiccant bag needs changing and when there's a blockage - Manual feeding option with choice of portion size at the touch of a button - Meal call set up so you can call to your pet with either their standard voice set up OR you can record a voice recording so they hear your voice! So I finally decided to pull the trigger on getting an automatic dry food feeder to better suit my schedule. And I gotta say, if you're looking for one... this is it! Setting up the machine is simple, and the cord for plug in power is a decent length -- and YES, it's also battery operated! (2 or 3 D batteries) It's always nice to have a fail safe, so you can use one or the other based on your preference. The inner mechanism for dispensing the food has not clogged at all for me, and I was feeding my stinky with Instincts Raw which includes slightly larger pieces of Rabbit hide. I was worried it wouldn't dispense, but nope! Everything runs smoothly. (Which is good because those are her favorite pieces) I also tested the portions with the Manual feeding option just to make sure the fractioned portions I wanted were correct, and those were on point as well. The app has to be the real selling point for me here. It's so simple to set up -- no crazy mumbo jumbo to go through just to get a schedule set. If you look at my screenshots, you'll see how clean the interface is. I was able to set up the exact time I wanted a feeding, and you can schedule multiple feedings a day. With those scheduled feedings, they go by a 12th fraction system. That can be a little confusing at first if you're not familiar with fraction conversions, and you're trying to be precise with your little one's calorie intake, which is what I'm doing. But a simple google search of "1/4 cup to 1/12 fraction" will pull up a handy calculator so you can get the right portions! You can also set different portions for the different scheduled times as well. You can get super personal with it -- INCLUDING adding meal time calls. I added a voice recording calling her name since she's so used to a human getting her attention by pouring her food. Even with me sitting next to her, her ears perk up and she RUNS if she hears the machine calling her name lol... I absolutely love the alerts this app sends to your phone as well. It notifies you if the food bowl happens to be too full to fully dispense the portion listed for the schedule. Once it's cleared (by a human, or your creature happens to start scarfing it down) it'll also notify you of that! Also, there's alerts for the desiccant bags when they need changing after 2 weeks. These keep the food fresh inside the tanks and helps control moisture, so it's necessary. I'd have to say that's my ONLY con. $15.99 for a 4 pack, and I don't believe there's an option for a larger pack, so really you'd be buying these every 2 months -- which, to some, is not even that bad. But I'm horrible with remembering stuff, so I'd say just subscribe to get them shipped to you automatically. SO in conclusion -- yeah. This was the best purchase I've made so far this year on Amazon. I have nothing but great things to say about this product, and I really hope you pull the trigger on it, too!

I got this feeder for my daughter's little feline princess to make life easier for all involved parties. Feline Princess cannot free feed because she doesn't know when to stop, so we had to set her up on a meal schedule. The comings and goings of the humans is different day to day due to work schedules, school schedules, and just life in general. Feline Princess does not understand that the humans aren't always awake or home when she decides she's been starving long enough and starts demanding her food. My sister has used this feeder for her 3 cats and recommended it for our Feline Princess. It was easy to set up, works really well, and has a lot of customization options as far as number, timing, and size of meal offerings. It holds a decent amount of cat food and doesn't take up much space in my daughter's room. Feline Princess no longer has to starve past her meal time and the humans don't have to worry about coming home to a hangry cat. All humor aside, this is a really convenient addition to our cat-owning lives. Cat gets fed whether we're home, awake, or just busy getting other things done around the house. I would buy this automatic cat feeder over and over again if I needed to!

I really love this automatic cat feeder. It is well made with removable stainless-steel dish. The best thing is the free application that comes with it. You can make adjustments to the time and amount you are feeding, program feeding times, record a voice dinner call. It also allows you to see a history of log on all feeding times and how much was dispensed in that feeding (adjustable in 1/12 cup increments). You can also feed anytime direct from the app. I have not used the desiccant bags recommended to keep food dry -- going to monitor and see if I need to purchase.

Edit: Increase rating base on Petlibro wonderful consumer service. Brought up the issue to the original company and after reviewing the video to prove it was the base that was the issue, Petlibro sent me a replacement base. I just got it and it is working so far. Crossing fingers it last more than 2 years. Original: After 6 month of use (and it wasn’t set to go off everyday either), the motor is dead. I keep getting an error message on the app saying the motor is stuck and to clean out the feeder but that’s not the issue. I’ve tried cleaning the machine out and it’s not a food blockage. The motor just won’t turn anymore. I've tried gently turning the motor manually and it won’t budge. There’s no way to open the machine to look under the motor to see if there’s an issue too. Very disappointing. The feeder isn’t cheap either

I had initially thought that this was 6 packs of 4 each. But it's just 6 items in the pack for almost £20. I doubt that this costs more than 20p to manufacture. And they want you to replace them every 2 weeks!

Je l'utilise dans un appartement de 70m2 environ pour un seul chat, qui l'entend avant moi et se précipite en courant pour regarder les croquettes tomber dans la gamelle. L'application pour programmer la gamelle est simple à utiliser (j'ai la fibre), la gamelle se nettoie facilement et ça me fait un souci en moins à gérer lorsque je suis toute la journée au travail. Le seul petit inconvénient c'est que j'aimerais pouvoir réduire la portion car même au minimum cela fait beaucoup. Mon chat se régule et n'a pas pris de poids, je le trouve même moins glouton qu'avant, comme s'il savait que de toute façon sa gamelle se déclenche trois fois par jours.
