The zipper was about 5” apart from being able to zip it up. I wear between a large and XL T-shirt and this is about 2 or 3 sizes too small. Other than that, it looks and feels nice.

we arent much into military play, but we bought this for our son who loves to where a vest with pockets for his adventures during outside play... good buy and he loves it

The vest is cool but it is HUGE. I ordered a medium and for my 10 year old and I think it could fit my 6' husband.

I bought a XL, children size, for a woman who wears a size 12-14. It would fit a small man perfectly, but it didn't fit the woman I bought it for... therefore: I altered it by taking in the shoulders, opening up the side seams and adding a couple of inches of fabric ..looks great.... d The vest is well made with lots of pockets.

I used to have this vest a long time ago and I'm glad I found it again. I ordered the X-Large which I thought would fit since I wear either a large or X-Large in shirts or jackets. But this X-Large vest was just a little bit too small. I thought X-Large would be somewhat "baggy" on me but it wasn't at all. I'm gonna keep it cause I like the arraignments of the pockets. Just a heads up, if you're used to wearing an XL be prepared that this might be a bit smaller than you expected. Still keepin' it though...haha.
