My friend and I love having these around. As a Public Safety SCUBA diver, I keep a few of these with my dive gear for night operations and not have to worry about dropping a flashlight in the water, etc. I keep them around the house too as power outage lanterns. Will continue to buy more, they're worth the price.

This lantern is the smallest lantern I have owned. It is lightweight and packs a bright light that illuminated the whole tent. The solar panel is a high quality and allows for charging even in low light conditions. There were a lot of thunderstorms while we were out backpacking and the light still maintained a charge the whole 4-day trip with hours of use. Before we left we fully charged the lantern with the included charging cable and we probably could have made it the whole trip without ever using the included solar panel. The light offers different levels of brightness, so you don’t blind yourself in the tent, because this thing gets bright! Most of these backpacking lanterns don’t offer a way to check the power level on the unit, but this lantern has a battery indicator. I would love to have something they could do to improve this product, but there is nothing. It is lightweight, bright, long battery, and charges by solar power or USB cable. I highly recommend this lantern for any ultralight backpacker.

GET ONE OR TWO!!! The battery lasts forever and it can recharge with solar power. I bought this for a backpacking trip and I absolutely loved it. I had it charged but I hooked it to the outside of my bag for the hike and it stayed charged all 4 days. It was great to have on the table to play cards or read in the evenings. These would also be great to have in case of emergency. Have them in the household. Easy to inflate and deflate. Can hang from your bag or the tent. Seems to be very durable and my favorite part - lightweight and space saving!

I used this for a 2-week camping/road trip...super nice. The inflatable light concept actually works really well, this makes a great camping lantern. The plastic sort of wrap around the solar panel gives it a cheap look/feel, but it's actually very durable and water tight. The light emitted from this is remarkable, too. A few small criticisms: the blow hole is on the bottom base of the lantern, so the lantern tilts to the side if you leave it pushed out. Kind of annoying...I don't want to push in and pull out the blow hole. Also, the battery-life on this is kind of short. You get basically one good night of several hours of use (maybe two nights) before you need to recharge it. That's cool, I'll just throw it on the dash in my car and let the sunlight recharge it...nope. A full day of driving with the lantern charging by solar doesn't even move the battery life indicator (4 indicator lights). I had to charge it by micro-USB and I wish it was USB-C. Anyway, it doesn't take long to charge by USB because the lantern's battery is not large. The light output is great though and it is very portable and lightweight when folded down. Overall, excellent design with the inflatable concept. The solar panel is more of a gimmick. I would buy again though.

Super cool! Holds a nice charge, packs small and light and nice to have for sure. Friends who saw it on a camping trip wanted their own :)

Nice little lantern to take backpacking.

Light volume is adequate and adjustable and charge lasts long enough. Light will solar charge even on cloudy days or in room light but stronger light is better/faster. A red LED lights up to show when it is charging. Stores compactly in its package and DOESN'T need batteries. A nylon storage pouch would be a welcome improvement though. The fact that it doesn't need batteries gives this light some advantages and disadvantages. If stored it should be charged every 3-4 months. It can be charged with included 12" micro USB cord. Can float in a pool so good water resistance. I think it would be great for camping, overnight hiking, as emergency light when power goes out to illuminate a small room. package weight is 5.8 ounces/164 grams. That could be reduced slightly by removing some material in package. So on a full charge at 75 lumens it lasts 3-5 hours, at 50 lumens 6-8, 25 lumens 12-14, and 12 lumens 18-24 hours. As with most things longevity will probably depend on care and abuse. Made in China and does have a prop 65 warning for cancer and reproductive harm so I will not get too cuddly with it. I love ours and plan to get more.

It's hard to rate because I don't use all the time but it's a good idea that I'm looking forward to use more often. It seems impossibly small and compact but puts out a lot of light.

Used it for a week on an island with no power. Gave off great light at night for making supper, washing dishes, finding a place to use the bathroom in the bush (and not falling in a hole or landing on an ant hill!), and reading in the tent. We had lots of daytime light so it charged well for us. Loved that it is light, easy to carry, easy to use. Will see how it stands the test of time.

Used at home and on camping trips. Mainly on lower brightness which helps to extend battery life. Easily recharges during a sunny summer day covering battery used the night before so very little worry that you will need to top it up with USB input during a short trip. But the option is always there if you use it intensively/don't go outdoors for a day/it's very cloudy/use it at home. Very useful lighting up the area around the campfire and also to take on midnight trips to toilets. Could be used as a low brightness nightlight if required although I didn't use it this way myself. Being waterproof suits all typical camping conditions and the very high resistance to damage from dropping it because it is inflated are great bonuses.
