My hair is thick and coarse and always slipping out of hair pins and clips. I secured my hair with a hair tie, rolled it in to a semi-bun, and used this to secure. It worked great and held my hair for the full day. These look nice and can be used for several different styles (if you know how to style hair). I am hair-style challenged, so these were a great option for me as most styles I try do not work with my hair nor my abilities to style hair. I can use these!

I love these combs! They pin my hair in place exactly how I need them to, without weighing it down or pulling. No more headache at the end of my day!

A fast way to put my hair up without struggling with Bobby pins. Some styles I’ll have to use hairspray to hold but it’s much better than a hair clip, as you can sit back without it being uncomfortable. Update: I wore each size today and they are easy to put in but slide out easily too and have to reposition. I have thick hair.

These products are great and heavy duty but they are way too long even for my heavy hair. They go through to the other side so they're sticking out the other side of my head. I have a friend that cut some of them down for me and then grinded them and repainted them black so they're shorter and they work great so if you have somebody that can do that for you and you have long hair they are wonderful. Otherwise when you put them through your hair they're just sticking out the other side and you look silly. Other than that they would have a five star if they made him shorter

These are incredible! I have thick long wavy hair and the big one holds it all in place without pulling on my scalp (I usually reach a length where I have to cut my hair off due to pain while in ponytails). The smallest combs works well on my daughter with thinner straight hair. Not to be dramatic, but- I can’t imagine ever being without these again!

These gold tone hair slides keep my fine long hair secure in a bun or twist. I enjoy the classic style and easy use to sweep my hair up keeping it neatly out of my way. I love them and they are easy to fashion with hair shoulder length or longer.

Great concept but do not hold my curly hair in place. Not recommended. Sorry.

Great hair pins. Well worth the money the metal is a little bit bendable but I liked that part because my hair is very thick and I was able to spread it out and bend it to fit my head better. Keep my hair, nice and neat and looking professional. John’s wife

EDIT: Just bought another set, to give as a gift. I highly recommend these combs! Perfection! These combs instantly hold my French roll securely in place. Very comfortable, and easy to use. Over the years I have not had a lot of success with combs in my hair. They usually slide off my head; at best, decorative, never anything that “held”. These combs are exactly what they are meant to be, attractive, comfortable (no pulling or sharp edges), and trustworthy in terms of holding hair in place.

For some reason I missed that these are metal and had thought they were plastic/resin, so that was a delightful surprise when I open the package. My hair is currently to my collar bones with some choppy layers from my chin down, making it a bit too short and unwieldy for my normal methods (a u-pin, claw, braid, or ponytail) to contain right now, and the comb (one of the smaller two wide combs) I’m using has had my hair locked down tight and out of my face since I got it in 3-ish hours ago. The prongs aren’t entirely rigid metal (just mostly) - which is probably for comfort against the head and catching all the bits of hair needed to keep it in place. Definitely going to be using a lot while my hair grows out, since I don’t have the patience to do any of the intricate styling that would otherwise be needed to keep hair out of my face.

I have very fine, wavy hair that takes a lot of effort to coax into looking decent, so on a daily basis I usually just put it in a French roll. When my hair is long I can get away with just a French pin, but when my hair is short it needs the support of a full comb. This set is perfect- nicely curved, the medium and small size are perfect for when my hair is shoulder length and keep it very secure. Like, I can bang my head to a rock song and it’s not going anywhere. Another commenter said these were sharp? They aren’t at all, and it doesn’t rip my hair in any way. In fact since switching to hair combs my hair’s condition has much improved since it isn’t getting tangled in elastics any more. Super comfortable, and to get six of them for the price is incredible. These are the perfect everyday hair combs!
