Telio Viscose Rayon Challis Emerald, Fabric by the Yard

This is a high quality lightweight fabric that is great for summer’s heat. It’s breathable & makes up nicely. Needs a serged finish or French seams as it ravels. Definitely prewash as it shrinks up badly. I bought 1/2 a yard more than what I needed & have very little left. You may want to use a bemburg lining if you want a little more coverage. Only thing I don’t care for is it wrinkles badly. It needs a serious ironing after every wash no matter what you do to prevent it, & it wrinkles when you wear it. I know this seems like a lot of negative, but I still love the fabric & will definitely buy again now that I know what to expect.

Decent enough fabric but much thinner than other challis I have had.

The media could not be loaded.  So I originally ordered this fabric in black to make an off the shoulder top. It’s lightweight, airy, slightly stretchy, and beautiful. I came back to order the same fabric in white to make another top and simply did not receive the same fabric. What I got was a thicker heavier fabric that has a satin finish on the good side and is more flat on the other side and it barely stretches at all.

Havent made anything yet but I love the fabric. Not has black as I had thought. More of like and off black?

Extremely thin and totally see through. Tissue weight. Normally I love Telio fabrics but this fabric had a very misleading description. Most rayon challis are much heavier than this fabric. I was planning to make a blouse but it would need a lining.

As expected! Great fabric.
