One of the best games ever made.
In society, it's easy to feel like a robot. We go around day after day, following the same routine and giving the same programmed responses. Even with our friends, we can feel mechanical. The ungame is an attempt to break out of our monotony and actually find out who we are, what we want, etc. Like I said before, I think the ungame is one of the best games ever made.

Amazing game
I bought this game at the recommendation of a friend. My family which includes two girls, an eight year old and a four year old, has found this game to be a wonderful tool to encourage open communication, listening skills, and valuable reflection for all. Even my husband found himself listening with interest and pride as our girls were able to reveal their thoughts and communicate effectively. I can see how this game will evolve with the family as the girls get older, allowing my husband and me opportunities to discuss the precious issues that develop and change over time. Additionally, it helps to remind everyone to respectful of the others time and need to express themselves. We found ourselves adding on to the agreed upon time as everyone wanted to play a little longer. I can't wait to play it with other members of my family.

great game for family or friends
i bought this game for my son and i. it is a great game for listening skills and to get your little ones to talk more and open up about what they like or what they know. you will be surprised! funny thing is i was showing a friend this game to recommend it to her son as i was having a playdate and all of a sudden we were playing it without even thinking about it. we were not using the board game part of it, but just using the cards and asking/ answering questions. it became very interesting. we both learned a lot abut each other that day and it got rid of some of that awkward silence that can come about when the kids are playing and the adults are just sitting there with nothing to do but try and start a conversation. great product.

Simple brilliance-
The Ungame is just that- not a game at all. Rather, this is a tool for nurturing communication and thoughtful interaction between people, and as that it is truly wonderful. Honestly, you don't need the board, dice, or anything other than the cards to 'play', though using those items in larger groups can help keep things organized. The instructions give suggestions rather than hard rules of how to use the cards, and it is easy to come up with interesting unique rules of your own to fit the experience to a specific situation. If you want to get to know someone better, be it friends, family, or someone you are dating, this is a really, really helpful aid, and will bring to light a lot of things you might not have otherwise discovered. There are additional card sets aimed at certain types of relationships (i.e. couples) available too, and they are well worth picking up. The personal, human value you get out of the small investment is definitely worthwhile.

Even the teenagers will play it!
Great family game. We play it once a week with teenagers who have grown to like the game. It helps everyone learn how to communicate and not interrupt others while they are sharing. When we played it with extended family we were all amazed at how much our family has learned. Our extended family couldn't keep quiet while others were talking, kept interrupting or disputing other's comments. We had to keep reminding them of the rules and the game took so much longer than usual. It was a great way for us to see how it has improved communication in our family.

Fun - but buy the cards only
Don’t recommend the game board set - buy cards only.Good questions/conversation starters.

Perfect game for therpay
What do you get? You get the board game. Included are a die, around five colored pieces for players and two sets of cards, number 1 or 2. The one cards are simple icebreakers, while the two cards are more advanced/interesting questions. It's amazing how I have been able to get my clients talking in therapy using these cards. I also have the teenage version, and that a pretty good one of course with teens. The board itself asks questions like, "if you've been challenged lately, go to mighty mountain", and kids can ask questions to others or the therapist in order to build on rapport. Pick this up if you have young kids as clients.

Great Ice-breaker
I used this game as a therapeutic tool with a group of mixed male and female teens. I was able to observe how teens feel about certain issues.

Love the cards
I am a Youth Care Worker at an Elementary school.Love the cards, but the board game is not really necessary! It has no end point and when I played with students they didn't seem to like that. When you have to go to the other places on the board like the mountain or ship, the kids did not like that. They rather just answer the Ungame questions.
