Good grip
I bought a pair for my husband and son. They like the grip and the fact it isn’t thin material.

Nitrile Lining Makes Them Stand Out
These do work as advertised but due to the mixed blessing of the nitrile rubber palm covering, they aren't suitable for fine work. I call the palm lining a mixed blessing because it does serve to give the gloves a vastly superior grip than cut resistant gloves lacking this lining. Nitrile is also resistant to fuels unlike some other materials 3M may have chosen to use as a liner so these are suitable for work where those substances may leak onto the glove. The downside to the lining is fit. The glove tends to bunch up a bit when flexed. Unlike this material without the lining, the glove doesn't, well, fit like a glove. There is some bunching along the way. In addition, the fingers are quite long - too long for my admittedly stubby hands meaning I am left with a bit of material at the end. This makes fine work such as using a number pad difficult or even impossible. To test cut resistance I tried cutting the gloves using several sharp straight blades and a very sharp serrated one. I used moderate pressure. I also tried both the rubber and reverse side of the glove. None of my attempts to cut through the glove even left a mark. The nitrile lining may also afford a certain degree of electrical insulation. So I got to give these gloves high marks for utility. They grip well even if used on oily conditions where they'll also last a good long while. You can feel the blade pressing on the glove but it won't cut through at least at the pressures I used which mimic what has injured me in the field in the past. Remember, these aren't armor and a fast enough hit can break you bones from the impact even if the glove material isn't penetrated. If they only fit a bit tighter or the fingers were a bit shorter. Still, a good safe work glove useful in the shop, garden, farm and the kitchen among other places.

Handy to Have Around
I have a house on a nearly 1-acre wooded lot, so yardwork is pretty much a weekly activity. Lots of which goes better with a comfortable set of work gloves. I usually wear some cuffed, thick leather gloves. They protect your hands, but they can be clumsy and you lose a lot of your tactile sense. You can use a hammer, but can’t really pick up any loose small nails. Enter the 3M gloves. My first impression is they are much warmer than leather. Not a problem for spring/fall, but not so good in the summer. My second impression is they are pretty comfy. They fit tighter than the same size leather gloves and stretch as you pull them on, like a pair of cotton socks. The rubber on the palm makes it easy to pick up small objects, and your fingertips feel things better than they can with leather gloves. These gloves are a must-have for any jobs that chew up your hands but require fine motor skills. The downside is, while the palms may be “cut resistant”, they certainly are not thorn resistant. If you’re trimming rose bushes with large thorns, these gloves are hopeless, while leather gloves keep your hands puncture free.Bottom line, these won’t replace my trusty old leather gloves, but from now on I’ll always keep a pair on the workbench for the kinds of jobs the 3M gloves excel at.
