Great saw, plenty of power.
I have used a Metabo HPT tools (primarily impact, drill, miter, and reciprocating saws) for my job. I don't typically use a circular saw, but I bought this one for home-use. It works best with a bigger battery such as a 6 amp-hour. I bought generic (much cheaper than OEM) batteries from Amazon for the saw, and they work just fine. I've used the saw a few times to cut plywood and 2x4's, and while its less than a 120 volt saw, it has plenty of power to make nice, quick cuts. Plus, and I could be imagining this, the battery saws seem safer due to less power than 120 volt.

Great balance and good power
The saw feels just right and is easy to control. I was able to cut 1 3/4" thick LVLs without any issues. Works even with 2Ah 18V batteries.

Light weight with extra meaningful function. Use 18 to 36 volt battery.
Unit weight is less than other cordless saws. The built is sturdy. It has LED light that shut off after 2 minutes idling. The torque switch automictically from low to high depends on load when in quiet mode. I expect this unit quality is excellent as my other Metabo drills and nail guns. The function of this saw is well thought out. It is easy to handle because of the weight. It is a sweeter deal with the discount and coupon. Perfect tool for older DIY home maintenance.
