Awesome knife
I've carried Kershaw almost exclusively for many years. The speedsafe function is great. I do construction, and being able to grab the knife from your pocket and open it with one hand is a real plus. This isn't your typical pocket knife. The curved blade and large finger hole can make certain cutting tasks more difficult, but it is very well suited to others. I think it's priced right, came very sharp, and a good size.

Nice folding claw with one pretty big flaw.
If feels like a nice quality tool, has good ergonomics, the assisted opening works great and the blade is very sharp. However, there is a design flaw that which makes this knife less than ideal in a defensive situation. It's not set up to open in the standard karambit defensive grip, with the index finger in the ring, pinky by the the blade, with the claw pointing up. Instead, it's designed to open in the pinky in the ring, thumb over the blade, with the claw pointing down configuration. If that doesn't bother you too much, this is a really nice karambit for the price. I am not too bothered by it myself and am glad to have this knife to my collection. Can't give it a perfect score though.

Excellent for everyday Carry
Extremely lightweight but it has just enough girth to remind you that it's in your pocket. Easy to draw with your little finger, then quick release with your index finger and the contoured grip works for holding the blade at either end of your hand, either as a cutting tool or for defensive purposes.I have a knife with me every hour I'm awake and most of the ones I'm asleep, from boxes and letters to random shop needs so I am very particular with my blades. This is my first experience with a bird beak style but it's surprisingly practical and holds an excellent edge (and mine is used from paper and packing tape to piercing thin aluminum and cutting fabric and rope).I thought it was strange when so many reviews indicated they would be purchasing a second one as a backup but after the first few days I'm probably going to do the same.

Sturdy and SHARP
I'm very happy with this knife. It's not overly cumbersome so pocket carry is nice. It's very sharp and cut through cardboard, which I used for a tester, far better than other knives I've bought for around this price range. The grip feels comfortable and I can do flips with it easily (I don't recommend doing that unless you use a trainer first). It opens with authority and the flipper tab requires a reasonable amount of force to deploy the blade which I prefer as I don't usually buy springs assisted knives for their hair triggers, and how they sprung open when I've bent down or fell before. This is much more sturdy and will stay put till you want it open. Highly recommend👍

Very nice assisted open Karambit
This Kershaw Karambit excesses all my expectations. This type of knife is more for self defense than an attack weapon so quick deployment is a must and the assisted open fulfills that. It is slim and lightweight and stone washed dark color - a good candidate for conceal and surprise deployment. The blade size is just about right and it is hair shaving sharp. The blade metal is good but not premium but that’s okay because this is a knife for self defense rather than an utility knife and I am not going to cut anything with it. The handle material is a little slippery and the texture on it doesn’t help much however with finger in the ring the knife isn’t going to drop out of your hand. Once you press the flipper to open the knife you will be holding the knife in forward position and it is a bit more hand and finger movement to change to reverse grip. Overall for a little over $40 this is a wonderful assisted open Karambit: it is sharp, quick and feel good in the hand.
