KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE, KNOW IT WILL FIT!!!!
I don't write reviews unless I see something getting dumped on that shouldn't be, and for items I truly admire!! OK: 1st off. most complaints are about it not fitting?! Then I've seen some pics showing keys "guts" not fitting into the new fob?!2nd: people sometimes buy things that they "HOPE" will fit and even "convince" themselves it WILL fit and it'll be like Chistmas?!3rd: And finally Christmas is here but......WTF!!Then I see their key their trying bring back from the dead and guess what?? They've got the wrong version of key, I see it in their pics!! THIS keyfob ISN'T UNIVERSAL!! When I saw this fob on Amazon, I KNEW IT WOULD FIT!! WHY: because I looked VERY CLOSELY at the pictures and KNEW "IT was CHRISMAS!! Now I will admit I am an electro-mechanicl engineer, but even with SOME common sense people should be able to look at their fob and this one, it should be pretty apparent if it "will" or "wont" fit???! But I'm guessing that the bad reviewers were HOPING it would fit, NOT "knowing" it would fit?! For ME, I just knew it was going to fit because I had taken my keys apart a few times to know all I could about them before looking for a new fob!! There were some "pretty obvious" examples of what I'm talking about!! For ME, this was probably the most cut and dry example of, "KNOW WHAT YOU GOT, and FIND WHAT YOU NEED!!!! This was piece of CAKE!! "A PERFECT FIT"!! TOOK "TWO MINUTES" START TO FINISH!!!! BUT, I still do have ONE COMPLAINT: "NO POPUP" key ring replacement key hole when you remove the EMERGENCY KEY!!!! SO CLOSE but yet SO FAR!!!! Still FIVE STARS EASY!!!!! AWESOME QUALITY!!!!

Very Disappointed with key fob
The key fob casing was poor quality according to two lock smith’s that I took it to. The first locksmith couldn’t get it to work with my car. The second locksmith couldn’t either. I ended up having to purchase another key fob casing from the second locksmith. The Key Fob looked exactly like my old one except only one of the buttons worked to open my car door but it wouldn’t work to lock the door nor start my car. Waste of money.

This is a legit $30 Key fob shell replacement.
Alright, here's a genuine review. I am not a bot or a paid advertising, or some sketchy stuff. The key is literally what it says, It is a SHELL, and my lovely dog found it amusing to chew on my old key from my w221 s63 amg. Well, dealer told me $650 per key. I bought this to figure out what the heck I had wasted $30 buck on less. Well, after a quick search on a youtube video of "Mercedes-Benz key fob chip replacement" I did it in 5 minutes. The key looks branded new and were not an issue. So there it is; dont key these negative nancy derail you from getting a new key fob as long as your chip on the old one is working.Thats all I got ✌🏻

Great solution for broken key fob shell
While many reviews complain of this being a fake key, or perhaps not being an exact replacement for their key fob, be advised this is exactly what it's described as, a replacement key fob shell. Mercedes key fob styles cross over many models/years and if you've ever had one replaced it will be the most recent style, not one that matches your original. Potential buyers should take special note, take your own key fob apart first and note the batteries and their placement. That's the best way to determine whether this replacement key fob shell will work for you. If your existing key fob matches this one, then it's a great solution for a broken or worn out shell. As for comments about not including instructions, there are several YouTube videos that show this process in way more detail than printed instructions would ever do. Watch one of these videos a few times and you'll find it simple to swap out. Mine took less that five minutes to replace and saved me hundreds of dollars.

Wasting your money
Buttons are hard to press, quality is not good, after installation chip and batteries won't work properly the key functions such as closing and opening commands, once you manage installation properly, then it's hard to take out batteries back and chip from the key fob, so my recommendation is not to buy, I don't recommend anyone

Poorly constructed KEY FOB switchs.
I purchased this FOB shell to replace a damaged key fob on my 2008 Mercedes ML350. Amazon noted that this key fob was a match for my car. I removed the battery compartment and internal circuit board from the damaged fob and inserted new batteries. I mated the circuit board and battery compartment together externally from the new key fob by simply pinching the two units together with my fingers, while at the same time testing each of the four circuit board switches by manually pressing each switch. Each switch operated their respective devices on the actual car. Keep in mind that the Amazon fob shell is just that--a shell with no electrical components whatsoever, only four mechanical push buttons. Upon inserting the circuit board and the battery case into the new fob (a perfect match), I found that the new fob's external switches would not impact the circuit board switches with sufficient force and or throw to activate the fob--no momentary red led and no response from my car. I repeated the above steps several more times, each yielding the same result. I am returning the fob and will try a different one.
