Ultra2 3.0, M

I switched to the Claymore Ultra2 3.0 after years of using propane lanterns, mainly because I wanted something safer now that I have kids. After using it for a few years, I’m incredibly satisfied. It’s not only safer but the battery life is impressive. It easily lasts through my 1-2 night trips since I only use it at night. The brightness is more than enough with just one unit, though having two would be even better—I’m planning to add another one soon! If you're looking for a reliable and worry-free camping light for a family, this is it.

I love this light. In hand the quality is immediately apparent. The materials and design are on par with what you’d expect from other premium lighting brands. It comes with a protective case to keep the light, instructions and charge cable together The operation is very intuitive. Charge port is USB C, the up down buttons operate both in steps and stepless with a long press to find that perfect brightness. It also has a battery life indicator which is a small detail other companies seem to overlook. I appreciate that built in assurance when reach for it I know how much juice I have left. I wish the threaded magnet was included, and I appreciate the different color temperatures but i do wish they had included a red light option for preserving night vision and avoiding flying insects as most, or maybe all?, aren’t attracted to red lights. Lastly I wish they’d thrown in a claymore decal so I could rep the brand and help get the name out there. I have no affiliation with the company I just love it that much and I plan to replace much of my lighting with claymore products. One last thing of note. I obviously can not measure the lumens, but I can say that I have run side by side comparisons with surefire lights and ust duro lanterns that have ratings in the 1,000 lumen range and the claymore overpowers them with ease so based on the eye test I believe the rating to be pretty spot on. It’s not cheap but I do feel that the price is on par with the value I received.

I bought 2. For the price one might think they would be extra careful about what they are sending. One arrived in a sealed box with all the signs and seals of a new unit and it worked fine. The other was obviousely someones return. No seals, open flap, and a general resealed look. It wouldnt show charging lights correctly as the new one did. It was moving the red lights all over the place. brightness is different and this unit obviousel has a soon to die battery. Very dissappointed and I'm too old to go about all the work to try to return it. Worse, in my stupid blind faith I even had discarded both boxes. I'd advise a pass on this item. Way too expensive to be recieving someone elses returns. Just looking for a new unit not a refund Amazon. I dont drive but is there a local place to retutn this broken unit ?

Claymore is top notch in their field. No drain on battery and very dependable.

This light is well made and is super bright. You do have the ability to change the color and the brightness of the light. The battery is long lasting and allowed me to run the light every night of a four day trip. Form factor is great also.

Way overpriced. Save money and buy the less cool looking led cheap plastic ones. They last just as long.

Great quality, easy to use and care for. Highly recommend these products! My son was thrilled after a friend talked very highly of the quality. Ordered as a gift.
