Shallow Water Anchor Pin, 3/4" x 9', Black

Bought this to use with a stand up paddleboard used exclusively for fishing. Works great in the waters I fish. I not only use it to anchor but as also a push pole to pole around mud flats searching for feeding fish. If you are in an area with mainly rock bottom, it will not work as well as it needs to be driven into the bottom to "stake out". Additionally, effective depth to use is probably around 7' max as it must be driven into the bottom well for it to hold. I also carry an anchor with 50' of rope for anchoring in deeper water but I prefer the pole when depth allows as it is easy to deploy and retrieve. A person could make one themselves for a little less money, probably around 40-50 dollars for something comparable or cheaper if you use your imagination but for a one purchase and done deal I have no regrets and would buy again.

I was considering building a Max Gain DIY stick, but for the price of this kit including rope & mounts I passed it up. Very glad I did. All parts of the anchor are nice quality. The mounts really hold the stick very secure. I also made velcro loops that I ran the mounting screws through and wrap around the mounts. I doubt these mounts would ever let go of the stick but if they did the velcro will hold it. I chose the 9' and I like the idea that I can cut it down and remount the handle if I decide I want it shorter. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it.

I do a lot of live bait fishing inshore and this anchor pin works perfectly for keeping the boat in place while on anchor in strong winds and currents. I have an 18 foot center console and it holds my boat with no problems. Very Happy I tried one of these before wasting my money on a power pole that would have ended up in the way while trolling off shore.

Solid smooth shaft with SS point sinks easy and holds firm. One holds a 20’ Carolina skiff in current. Two holds a 24’ pontoon in tide swings. Definitely recommend.

This is a great product, the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the stainless steel tip fell off of it the first time I used it. But I can tell you after speaking with Brad the product representative he was extremely helpful and jumped right on my problem and sent me out a new tip immediately. He also stated that this is only happened two or three times that he can remember. I received the tip in approximately 3 days put it on and it's working great. Thank you Brad for the quick follow-up service. I recommend this product.

Typically fish pretty shallow on the flats, but the length is nice for poling (using the T handle side) and the loop on the anchor leash allows adjustment to water level without pulling the pin over. A fixed point of attachment on anchor pins is a deal breaker for me. I did manage to break the metal tip to a degree (the tip has split from sand becoming wedge in between the fiberglass and metal tip). The tip is still secured, but not sure how performance will be impacted once it fails or how difficult/necessary it will be to fix.

I had purchased a 10lb anchor when I first got my kayak. Took my kayak out on moderate chop and waves were dragging me everywhere with 10lb anchor. SuperStick stopped by 12.5 kayak on a dime as soon as I dropped it thru the scupper hole. Once I drove it into the sand it held the kayak in place. Fantastic item, works GREAT for my 23-foot deck boat! As others have said though, buy a "crab trap float" ( 6" styrofoam ball) and tread the lanyard through it. These do anchor pins not float and you will lose them if they get loose...this purchase was to replace a different one that I lost.
