Awesome Cooler Backpack for Camping and Beach Trips
I've used this cooler backpack on several camping trips and beach days, and it's been excellent every time. It's comfortable to carry, holds plenty of food and drinks, and does a great job keeping everything cold throughout the day.The backpack design makes it much easier to hike or walk than carrying a traditional cooler, leaving your hands free for other gear. It has held up well after many trips, and the build quality has impressed me. If you're looking for a versatile cooler that's easy to carry and keeps your drinks and food cold, this is a great choice. I'd definitely buy it again.

Versatile, Spacious, and a Fantastic Value!
I bought the Maelstrom Cooler Backpack as a wedding gift for my daughter and son-in-law, and I can confidently say itโs a winner because I personally own five Maelstrom coolers, including the backpack version in orange! Iโm a huge fan of these soft-sided coolersโtheyโre incredibly versatile and perfect for camping, beach trips, hiking, or even shopping. The backpack design is a standout, holding a TON of items (easily 35-50 cans) while keeping contents relatively cool for a soft-sided cooler, which is impressive. The insulation also does a great job with water retention, keeping melted ice contained without any leaks during my trips, which is a big plus for messy outdoor settings. The adjustable padded straps make it super comfortable to carry, even when fully loaded, and the multiple compartments are great for organizing snacks, drinks, or utensils. The colors are vibrant and accurate to the descriptionโI love the bright orange of mine! The quality is top-notch, with durable stitching and materials that feel built to last. For the price, this cooler backpack is an absolute steal, offering high-end functionality at a budget-friendly cost. My daughter and son-in-law are thrilled with it, and I highly recommend this cooler for anyone needing a reliable, spacious, leak-proof, and comfortable option for outdoor adventures or everyday use!

Great product
This is a great backpack! I put a dozen drinks in each day at a festival for carrying around and keeping my drinks cold. All day they stayed cold with a couple handfuls of ice. No leaks!!

A decent, functional cooler backpack at a do-able price.
I actually bought this backpack on a whim because we had an extended trip planned in the blazing Florida heat, and it was crucial to keep things cold for our family's enjoyment. Lately, I've noticed a surge in the popularity of backpack-style coolers, so I thought it might be the solution we needed. If you've ever looked into backpack coolers, you know there are numerous brands and styles available at different price points. Initially, I had my sights set on some well-known brands, but the timing and cost didn't align. That's when I came across the offerings from Maelstrom.Let me start by saying I absolutely love the size of this backpack. During a recent outing, I easily packed four 32 oz stainless steel water bottles, a couple of cans of sparkling water, two bottles of Prime, two additional frozen water bottles, and a sack of food with fruit. I didn't even have to be strategic with my packing, thanks to the ample space in the bag, and everything stayed intact especially the fruit. One of the standout features of this bag is the abundance of pockets. Since we planned on being active outdoors, it often meant my shorts lacked the capacity to hold all the essentials like my phone, wallet, and keys. However, with this backpack, that concern was alleviated. There are pockets everywhere, easily accessible and within reach. What's more, there's even a hidden zipper pocket on the backside, which proved invaluable for keeping important items secure when navigating through crowds.Considering the amount of stuff I packed, the bag did get quite heavy. Thankfully, the straps are remarkably comfortable. They never dug into my shoulders, no matter the weight of the bag. Plus, there's a chest strap that adds an extra level of security. The only thing I wish it had, if possible, would be a waist strap or belt to make long carries even more comfortable. In terms of style, this bag blends in seamlessly with other backpacks. It doesn't scream "I'm a cooler" and lacks prominent branding that draws unnecessary attention. This discreet design makes it convenient and less awkward to carry anywhere and everywhere. Now, let's talk about its performance as a cooler. It fares pretty well, to be honest. Are there better coolers out there? Yes. Do I own some of them? Definitely. However, I subjected this bag to scorching 105ยฐF heat for a full five hours, and everything inside stayed impressively cold. Towards the end, there was a slight warming effect, but I must admit, I didn't have the best ice packs at my disposal.Overall, I'm genuinely pleased with this purchase. It may not boast a widely recognized brand name, but the Maelstrom backpack cooler performs exceptionally well, especially considering its attractive price point. While there might be other backpack coolers on the market, this one strikes a great balance of functionality, features, and affordability.

Comfortable and spacious
Brought this backpack to the beach and it worked great. It was manageable to carry in terms of weight distribution and the straps were comfortable. Plenty of room inside and I appreciated the different pockets outside and in the top. Easy to clean out afterwards.

Excellent Lunch Bag
Bought this to pack meals for 10-12 hour work shifts out on sites. With three small ice packs, it is able to keep my lunch(es) and a few drinks cool up until lunch time. Even when I get home and take the ice packs out, they've already melted but remained cool. I've even had some food stay in there that I didn't eat (like yogurt or fruits) and they're still cold when I get home.Functionally, there are a lot of pockets available:Outer Top Pocket - I use to hold my phone charging cable, backup battery, earbuds, and contact lenses case.Inside Top Pocket - I use to hold cough drops, gum, pretty much anything I want kept cool but not cold.Side Mesh Pockets - I use to hold my eyeglass case, measuring tape, LOTO lock/tag, flashlight, pens.Outer Pocket - Use to hold some sanitizing hand solution, and my forks/spoons.Outer Most Pocket - I keep any handbooks or paperwork.Bungie Cord - I use to hold a jacket or hatSide Loops - I have a carabiner to hold keysSide Buckle - I use to hold my beltBack Hidden Pocket - I use to hold my aspirin, eye drop solution, and vitaminsSo as you can see, there's a lot of functionality with this bag. One thing I haven't test yet is the company claims it's inner insulation is seamless, so washing it out should be simple and easy, without completely soaking whatever are in the other pockets.Lastly, the only con I have of this bag, is if I don't have anything packed in the insulated pocket, and the top pocket still has all my electronics and cables, the backpack will sag backwards under the weight. Minor annoyance, but shows there is no rigidity built in to the main pocket. But overall, a very good cooler bag. So far, it serves it's purpose well!

Sturdy, did not leak, keeps cold!
This cooler kept everything cold for an entire day while walking around in NYC in 80 degree temps WITHOUT ice packs! The food/drinks were cold to start out but we did not have ice packs on the 2nd day and everything remained cold for the entire day while in this pack. We did not open it often and kept it sealed up in between. There are multiple pockets on the exterior which provide additional storage. The straps are padded, thick and comfortable, making it easier to carry, even when heavy. The bag material did not leak or cause any exterior moisture issues, even when we were sweating!

Extremely well made, sturdy, did not leak, kept everything ice cold!
I just took this backpack to Port Aransas, Texas, Mustang Island for Independence Day week. We loaded it with ice and bottles and cans daily and placed it under the shade of a beach umbrella from morning to night. It held drinks cold all day. Loved the fact that I had squirreled away disposable plates, plastic ware etc in the dry pockets. And there was room for my Yeti cup and suntan products in the perfectly sized side pockets. Nothing fell out, even when whizzing around on the beach in a golf cart! I love the way this product performed. And it came in this color that matches all my camping gear, like Starlink cases and regular backpacks in orange/green.

Very good quality.
I bought this bag to use for a few days at Disney and I was very happy with it. It's comfortable to carry around all day full of food, drinks, and ice packs. Stayed as cold as you would expect for a soft shell cooler. There's a few useful pockets as well, and I especially loved the small pocket against your back which was perfect for hiding money.Quality is really good and I feel it will last for years you come. Also used it as my carry-on bag on the plane and was a perfect size.
