Does what it's supposed to do - all the time
UPDATE: (September 2nd, 2015): We took a major lightning strike to the house while I was away.I was over in Singapore at the time, and could not connect back home to my network - which is very unusual since my network NEVER goes down. When I got home I discovered a palm tree right next to the house took a direct hit from a bolt of lightning, and it blew out two circuit breakers in the house - including the one that the UPS is on - as well as my GFCI down in the garage.The good news is that the CP1500AVR protected all of my equipment. Apparently the CyberPower drained itself all the way down and then shut down the server (which is is attached to). I reset all the house breakers, and everything came back up again, but alas, the batteries would no longer take a charge, and were failing the self-test.So I ordered a new set of batteries ExpertPower ® 12v 9ah Sealed Lead Acid Battery with F2 Terminals (.250") / 2 Pack and replaced them today. All is back up and running, and the UPS performed a successful self-test. Fully expect to get another 4 years out of this product.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~UPDATE (June 8th, 2013): This product is still going strong. It has protected me over and over, and has NEVER let me down. I live in Florida, and we're getting ready to come into the thunderstorm and hurricane season again, and I'm confident that this UPS will not let me down.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~UPDATE (August 21st, 2013): We've been getting our summer thunderstorms rolling through here at full throttle, and it's still protecting my devices - in fact, it JUST KICKED IN AGAIN as I'm typing this! I just checked the log, and in the past 12 weeks I've had 9 instances where the UPS had kicked in to protect my equipment. Still 5 STARS.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~UPDATE: June 6' 2015. I've had this device for over 4 years now, and it has saved my office electronics countless times since then. Yesterday we had 4 instances where we took power hits where it kicked in - each time it just kept all my equipment running without a single problem. STILL 5 STARS!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I purchased this product last August (2011) to ensure that my home office server and all networking gear stayed on the air in the event of power outages.It works perfectly.The device powers all of my critical home office equipment: server, workstation, cable modem, router, switch, KVM, IP phones, monitor. In the past 24 weeks I've had over 19 "Invert" episodes: 4 power outages, 3 under voltages, and 12 over voltages. Not a single hiccup.I have silenced the alarm so that I never hear anything when it happens; I read about it in the log. The software is simple yet efficient. It tells me what I need to know. All of those devices described above draw a combined 165 watts. My estimated run time (per the software) is about 37 minutes.Don't be put off by all the negative reviews about this. It works.

They just keep working. Get one!
I buy these whenever I buy a new or refurbished computer/server, and recommend them to everyone I know when they buy a CPU tower or desktop (mainly because of the cleaned-up power they provide, and less so the ability to cleanly shut down). Cleaner power allows computer equipment to last longer and not burn up power supplies when the power sags (which surge strips can do nothing to stop).I have five CyberPower CP1500AVRlcd units, scattered around across different equipment. I usually get about 4-5 years from the battery before I pull it, recycle it and swap in a new battery. a spreadsheet helps, and when you *do* get a power outage, note the remaining time for each unit, and when that number drops drastically after 4 years, it's time to replace the UPS's battery.Logistics:I have almost every device that's plugged into a CyberPower unit first plugged into a power manager (switched multi-outlet), so I can selectively shut off individual devices without having to do power cord pulls. Examples: Rosewill RPS-200 6-Outlet Power Strip with Individual Switches, or the TRIPP LITE TLP76MSG Eco Green Switched 7 Outlet Conserve Energy Surge Protector. Since the CyberPower has built-in surge protection, I'm not concerned about getting a surge-protecting power strip.Example setups:Cyberpower 1: two 24" LCD monitors, 4-port Belkin KVM, Mac laptop, and a generic CPU tower.Cyberpower 2: 8-port switch, external USB backup drive, two Optiplex 780 dictionary-sized CPUs, Apple WAP.Cyberpower 3: hardware firewall, cable modem, DSL modem, load-balancing router, 16-port switch.Cyberpower 4: Mac laptop, LCD screen, external USB backup drive, power-outage flashlight.Cyberpower 5: Panasonic cordless phone, power-outage flashlight. Note this is a smaller model, the 425V, I think.Devices I don't care about keeping running I'll plug individually into one of the Surge-Only outlets. External disk drives should *always* be in a battery-backed-up outlet.PROS:- the slim form factor sits nicely on a shelf.- the ability to turn on Silent Mode (no more annoying BEEPBEEPBEEP on power blips or shorter outages ),- the informative LCD display, navigable with a single button.- the auto-off display so one's room stays just a bit darker at night.- the ease to remove an expired battery and slip in a new one from the battery store.CONS:- the power button needs to be a bit more recessed than it already is. I've hit that button with my knee (lower desk shelf) or elbow (chest-height shelf) a few times, so I ended up duct-taping a plastic bottle cap over the power switch.- facing the front, it's hard to remember whether the back left or right side has the surge or the battery/surge outlets. I just add a small label onto the unit top, pointing to the battery-backed-up outlets.- they click* whenever there's a power sag or spike. This is totally normal for a battery backup/UPS.*I ended up re-routing two laser printers to a new wall circuit because the 9-13.8 amp startup surge (on a 15A circuit!) from 1-2 laser printers caused each CyberPower unit in the office to briefly go into power-outage mode. Right, I understand they were just doing their job, but it got a little nerve-wracking, thinking there was a power outage every time someone printed. ;-)Uptime:The CyberPower 1500VA lasts between 30-100 minutes once the power goes out, greatly depending on what you left powered on or plugged in. A few times, when half of the 120V circuits in the building went out, I ran an extension cord to the still-functioning outlets, and plugged in the CyberPower units to keep our network alive.Buy the biggest one you or your business can afford. Your computer and data will thank you.

CP1500AVRLCD -is compatible- with Corsair APFC PS
I received my UPS today and after several days of pure panic I was relieved to learn my fears were for naught.After I had already committed to the purchase I read about something I wasn't aware of. New power supplies using a technology called PFC.Apparently many people were finding that this model UPS doesn't place nice with power supplies that require a real sine wave, which this device does not supply. Oooooopsy.... Panic panic panic! Run about and wring hands for three days! Panic more !!I have two large, high power Hackintosh systems and one FreeNAS unit in a rack mount configuration and all three of them are FULL of hard drives.Between the three machines there are about 28 4tb hard drives installed. So it's a hefty load.But the thing that was scary is that all the power supplies are the new PFC type. When I got the UPS in I shut down one of the systems and plugged it into the UPS. I booted it into bios setup mode rather than the OS so if it failed the test nothing would be harmed. I pulled the power cord of the UPS from the all and the Hackintosh kept right on going like nothing had changed. Plugged it back in and pulled it again. Rock solid, no problem.The power supplies in my machines are Corsair HX650 and HT750 (x2) and after some more research it seems that Corsair power supplies are not as sensitive about the false sine wave this UPS provides.As for run time I have no concerns as long as they will keep the three machines powered up for 15 seconds to 1 minute.I have a whole house Generac generator that automatically starts up and transfers upon city power failure.When the city power fails the Generac self starts (runs on natural gas) and transfers the house from city to generator. The shortest start and transfer time I've seen is 15 seconds. I can imagine that maybe in the winter if it's really cold (which is very rare here) that it MIGHT take longer to crank up and transfer.So the Cyberpower unit only serves to carry the machines for a very short time until the generator kicks in.There's also a nasty, nasty downside to the generator, when it detects that city power has been restored it will automatically transfer the load back to the city and the generator shuts down to standby. But when it transfers from generator back to city, it's a very rapid cycle, like half a second.And electronics don't like rapid power on/off cycles like that. Especially computers. Even though it's only like 1/2 a second long that's enough to crash a computer and make all the clocks start blinking. So again the Cyberpower UPS will rescue my stuff from that nasty transfer business.I have no doubt it can carry three heavy Hackintosh systems for less than one minute and that's really my only need.I am pleased and relieved that it does play nice with my Corsair PFC power supplies after all.I will probably buy two more of these to carry the rest of the electronics at my desk and I'll probably buy several of the much smaller units to put around the house to cover when the generator does it's thing. And of course there is an added benefit of protecting my equipment much better than a $10 surge protection strip from Walmart would.As others have mentioned, the Mac software is pretty barren and bleak but it does work. It would be really nice if it could send a command through my LAN to tell all machines to power down but I guess I would have to get enterprise gear to have that ability.The price was right and this will do what I need, keep three machines running for under one minute.I just hope it doesn't make poo on itself like some people have mentioned theirs did.

Great battery backup!
I've had to get a few battery backups lately to either replace older APC units or to add more because of our expanding computer network in our house. I chose CyberPower instead of APC for the backps because in my opinion CyberPower builds a better unit and sells at a better price. The batteries alone on the APC units were going to cost more than new units! That aside, this unit is smaller than the APC unit I had in my main computer installation before, and I must admit I wish it had more outlets on it (my old one had 9, this one has 8), but it's not a deal-breaker. Now I will have to tell you that this unit is an Amazon replacement after an adventure with the first unit they sent me, and my kudos to Amazon for handling the replacement very well. I'll get to that if you'll bear with me. The first unit came very quickly but was packed in an oversized box and the packing inside didn't keep the unit from shifting around, though it was secure in its own factory box. When I opened the outer box, I noticed that one corner of the box had a long cut in it which surprised me, but I proceeded to unpack the backp anyway. When I finally got it out o the box I found the instructions to see if there was anything out of the ordinary I needed to know and there wasn't. I took the unit to where I was going to install it, plugged it in and turned it on to make sure it was going to work, and nothing happened. Having been used to APC products, I then thought I would have to open the unit up and connect the battery, so I unplugged the unit, opened the front panel (battery is behind the panel on this one) and it was in fact connected. I checked its connections to make sure they weren't loose. I discovered though that there's a little wire that comes out of the battery backup unit that connects to the back side of the front panel and it simply came right off when I opened the front panel. I tried in vain to reinsert the plug into the corresponding jack but couldn't. Being legally blind (10% vision) I couldn't tell what was going on so took the unit to an Office Depot, where a tech looked at it and said several pins were bent but was leary to try to straighten them. Took the unit back home and under high magnification I managed to straighten the pins out, then tried to power up the unit again to no avail. My best guess is the unit had been tampered with by someone, sent back for dead and somehow it got recycled to me. I don't know how else to explain what happened. I reported this all to Amazon, who promptly sent me a replacement unit at no additional charge to me. The replacement arrived very quickly, and this time when I plugged it in to test, it worked beautifully with no fussing around. so if I could give 5 stars to Amazon, I would, but I also give 5 stars to CP for a nicely made unit. I now have several of their units of varying power in place and they all perform as expected. A good "happy ending" to what was a short-lived nightmare. And always the learning experience out of anything, I discovered that even a visually impaired person can straighten out pins on a small jack with the help of magnification, and none of them broke off. The guy at Office Depot had full sight but was too afraid of doing anything even though he could see what he was doing. Ya live and learn every day. At any rate, I'm a happy camper and I continue to be a happy Amazon customer.

Computer compatibility may be an issue
First, I didn't do my homework before purchasing this and it can't be returned so I'm throwing this review into the mix for your consideration. Some computer power supplies have Active PFC and some Active PFC power supplies won't work well with the type of sine wave this unit puts out as AC power to your computer when battery backup kicks in. You can search for UPS and Active PFC on the Internet to find out more about this; you will undoubtedly find some conflicting and confusing information as I did after I purchased it. Anyway, to be safe you may want to consider the CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD Pure Sine Wave UPS instead of this one. I don't think that is a true sine wave either; I think it's a simulated sine wave that's closer to true than this unit and CyberPower sells it as Active PFC compatible. With that said, I built my own computer a while ago and have the Cooler Master Silent Pro M700 700 watt power supply with Active PFC installed. Once this CyberPower unit arrived I hooked it up to my Cable modem, router, VOIP adapters/phones, external hard drive, monitor and computer. I purchased a couple of Cables to Go 1.5 ft 1 to 4 Power Cord Splitters to make all this fit on the battery backup part of the CyberPower UPS. So, after wondering if I just bought a battery backup for everything but my computer - the test. I unplugged the CyberPower UPS and to my joy the battery backup worked without a problem. After testing it several times and hearing no strange noises or seeing any indication of any kind of problem on my computer, I felt comfortable leaving it hooked up to my computer. Power outages aren't common here and are usually short. But, as happened a few times recently, there are times I lose things I've been working on due to a short power outage and I bought this mainly to prevent those losses and keep my Internet VOIP phones working. According to the CyberPower unit display I have about 45 minutes of battery backup for my system when the computer and monitor are on. It says about 80 minutes for the rest once the computer and monitor are turned off. I really just need time to save my work and shut down the computer. The rest is to keep my VOIP phones and Internet connection going so I'm happy with this unit for the price - 4 stars. Although, I think CyberPower and Amazon should put something about computer compatibility in BIG BOLD LETTERS that people like me won't miss. Here ends my saga spelled out for your consideration. I hope it helped.P.S. I didn't install their software but did use the USB connection to my computer; I use Windows 7 battery backup power options.

Great UPS. Packaging could use improvement.
I've only tested this in an "artificial" scenario, i.e., pulling the plug from the wall after having it charged. Well, it did fine there (as well as with the "self-test" available via the software config). Make sure to download the new software from the Cyberpower website for the latest version. I'm using it on Windows 7 64 bit, and it performs flawlessly. Low resources, and stable. Impressive.At any rate, I really enjoy the readout from the front. Voltage In, Voltage Out, Power frequency, instantaneous power consumption (in kW), and load and battery capacity as well as estimated runtime are available from the front display. After a period of inactivity, the screen will turn off to avoid needless power consumption. A simple button press will bring it back.As I stated earlier, I haven't had to test its actual capabilities yet (probably better this way, ha). But living in Florida, that's expected as long as it's not the summer - which is when most of our power events occur. Whether it's a lightning storm, or peak load on the grid during a hot summer afternoon when ACs are on full blast, various conditions can create short power outages, or more likely, severe brownouts. I've lost a router this way. However, I feel more confident with this UPS. I wish it would boost and buck at narrower ranges (the low limit is 90Vac and high limit is 140Vac before it bucks/boosts by switching to the battery), to keep it more in line with the 120Vac +/- 5% optimal range. But that's ok.This UPS will be tested in real world conditions, but it'll have to wait until the next Florida summer. I figured I'd buy it now while it's cheaper!The thing that impressed me the most was it's capacity. I appear to have way overestimated my needs! ha. According to the software, with my computer, 22" LCD monitor, Klipsch 2.1 speakers, and my Linksys WRT54GL router plugged in, I have about 38 minutes of runtime. Load is only around 13% or so. I wish it came with more battery backup outlets, but it is ok for my needs. If I need to, I can simply put in a splitter to gain a few extra outlets. (Note: if you do this, make sure to not exceed the total capacity of the UPS, or to overload the one outlet - it can only handle so many amps... use the split with lower-drain devices like modems and routers; in addition, use a regular power splitter, not one with a surge protector built in. It isn't recommended to daisy chain surge protectors due to possible harmonic effects between them during a power event). Also, be sure to heed the warning in the instructions: do not connect a laser printer due to its high transient current draws. I have a Brother laser printer that I have connected to my non-UPS surge protector (the one I used before I bought this UPS).My only complaint is that whether by UPS' handling, or maybe handling somewhere earlier in the chain, a corner of the UPS had cracked and bent. It was disappointing, but the unit itself still worked, and it wasn't a hazard in any way. It's cosmetic damage, but I wish perhaps it was better packed, since throwing around this 30+ lb box as it was packed certainly will do some damage. I wish Amazon would have put some extra packing around the retail box; instead, they ship the retail box in a bigger cardboard box, and stuff some brown paper in. Some peanuts, bubble wrap, and/or air bags would have served the task far, far better here, especially for something so heavy. However, with the free super saver shipping, I suppose you get what you pay for. BUT - the UPS still works and with damage only on that back corner, so I won't complain too much.Anyway, if you're looking for a decent UPS at a great price point, I'd recommend this. Obviously, if you're looking for mission-critical or very high end (pure sine wave output type) UPSes, you will have to spend more. However, for the majority of home and small office users, something like this should be perfect.

It works fine
Update: 10/08/2012: It has saved me data loss multiple times. Everything from momentary outages to a 2 hour drop. Still works great. Feature I hadn't paid attention to earlier. It will tell you power use from the from panel. As it turns out, my computer (desktop), mouse, external hard disk, and the monitor use less power than a 100 watts.About a week and a half ago a lightning storm blew my power out about 3 times in a half hour period. I work from home doing software development and having my development system blow away is not good.I decided I was long overdue for power backup so I could at least shut down gracefully. I did the usual look up of UPS reviews on line, decided on a unit, and went to Amazon to buy one.I read the Amazon reviews for the unit I wanted and decided against it. Instead I bought the Cyberpower CP1500AVRLCD. It had more bang for the buck and only 4 out of scads of reviews were negative. One was about the industrial smell when it was unpacked and how it was sent back without even turning it on. I could live with industrial smell for a few days in exchange for peace of mind. I dropped the negatives to 3.(When I received the unit, the smell wasn't bad at all. The poor lady must have received her unit from a different Chinese factory than mine...)I ordered the unit and used the 5 - 7 day free shipping option. I received it on the 3rd day.I have hooked up my computer, the monitor, my wireless mouse, and a 2 terabyte backup USB drive to the UPS. Yesterday it paid off. Another lightning storm and my house was really slammed with short power outages. My system didn't even notice. I barely did. I did have WiFi drop, but I was busy writing code, so I didn't miss it. No worries about two hours of work in the bit bucket. No corrupted files. Since the outages were of short duration, I didn't even have to stop working. And the software estimated I had 43 minutes of power left when the power company came back to stay. It was great. I no longer flinch when I hear thunder in the distance.The Cyberpower sits next to my computer tower and quietly does its job. The hardware works as advertised.Another nice feature of the UPS is the software that accompanies the machine. I'm running Windows 7 Professional and the software works. It puts my system to sleep and wakes it up on schedule. It will turn off the machine if it's running off of the UPS and the batteries are about drained.It also displays the power utilization of the items plugged into it. I find that my computer, 23 inch monitor, mouse, and USB disk drive only use 100 watts of power. That's one light bulb. I no longer worry about power consumption while running disk compressions or other unattended tasks tasks over night. With the UPS, the computer will stay up and it doesn't really cost that much. (At pennies per kilowatt hour, 100 watts 24/7 isn't even noticeable on my electric bill. Now if I could only do something about Texas and air conditioning requirements...)I can't believe that I waited so long to buy a UPS. In three months I'll spend more on ink than I did on this machine. As far as I'm concerned, it paid for itself yesterday.I like it.

* * BEWARE * * LONG TERM RISKS * *
After years of APC units we found CP and their replacement batteries more economical. We first tested one then over a two year period phased in five CP 1500 units as each APC battery failed. No power outages took place during that time .. but then SURPRISE !!! Two CP units instantly died at the onset of a 30-second power outage. One of the 1500 units powered a single Dell PC, nothing else. We rebooted. An hour later RAID had restored the hard drive sync. We allowed the CP battery to soak-charge overnight before testing. Even though the battery was shown as fully charged with 48 minutes of runtime remaining, the unit died as soon as it was unplugged. Splat ! The other failure, powering only two 27" monitors and network routers, also failed despite showing 57 minutes of runtime remaining. Oh goody ! Called CP tech support - nice fella felt the batteries were faulty and sent two sets. Hmmm.... when they arrived a week later one set bore tape residue and the other also appeared to have been used. After hours of fighting to make the batteries fit well enough to replace the cover, followed by another 24 hours of charging, we pulled the plug again. Splat ! Dead again. With the second unit we had to TAPE the battery cover back onto the unit - because --- wait for it - these things are designed with absurdly tiny clearances... some of the wiring is so short and awkward and the battery compartment so cramped as to defy logic ! Further, the battery/wiring scheme must have changed so often as to be different from one 1500AVR to another 1500AVR. What works with one does not work with another. End result - TWO DAYS OF fighting to replace batteries and DOWNTIME, leaving us with poor results and new concerns.Called CP tech support. This call was answered by a cranky old-sounding guy who tried to shorten the call by talking over our attempts to explain the issue with his insistence any and all problems we are calling about is our own fault. Finally obtained RMA's and advice we would be required to pay for shipping. We were informed simultaneous exchange is impossible because they do not have the ability to accept credit cards; they would get to the unit whenever they can, and we would probably receive it back two to three weeks later.Hmmm... his attitude drastically changed things for us. Not only would we have WEEKS more of depending on our only spare unit (we ARE a small business) but we would be out of pocket for shipping with best case scenario being to get the unit back and face the same unreliability and hostile tech support all over again ! Further, we had no packaging for shipment and asking him to send an empty box was a waste of time. Hmmm... we needed another unit...... and the fine Amazon shipping box it would arrive in. The negative, semi-hostile attitude of this support person seemed to silently indicate the problems were other than with the batteries - perhaps a fatal circuit design defying repair - perhaps even affecting the quality of the uptime power being fed to our equipment ! We decided to resolve these issues in the most efficient manner possible: We ordered an APC1500 unit from Amazon and planned to use the APC box to ship the CP unit to CP !But, Hold ON !! When discovering the 2 minute max, wireless ultra-simple hot-swap battery replacement technology now used by APC I don't think we WANT to bear the expense of shipping either of the two defective CP units nor would we WANT them back. Instead, we will replace each CP unit with an APC unit as that CP unit fails and is routed to its new home in the city dump. APC was always flawless during power events, but their new battery replacement method destroys our biggest reasons for originally trying CP.Finally, we suggest CP users perform a very simple test to determine whether or not your CP unit(s) are at least providing power interruption protection. As with our two failures, one really never knows without actually pulling the plug ! It is great if they operate properly absent power outages, but completely different when the power goes out. We were lucky to have been protected from serious disk failure by RAID, but would have had to rebuild this workhorse PC from backups if our only protection was a CyberPower UPS.

Performance Under Pressure
This 1500 watt battery backup UPS delivers. I wish to share my experience with it for those of you who may decide to integrate one of these into your home.First, I bought the unit with the intention of putting it into my wall, literally. So, warranty is void obviously and I did have to buy additional components to do this job. The goal for me was to provide and protect my network connection and lighting during a power outage. The Cyberpower 1500 watt UPS provides a sufficient amount of run time should we have a power black out and its surge protection safeguards the network equipment connected to it.I considered that the general space between wall studs gives me about 14.5 inches, but where this was going I only had 10.5 and 2x4 studs are 3.5” wide so the casing for the UPS had to go. I protected the circuit board and transformer of the UPS in smaller project boxes, and after replacing the battery wires with longer ones and lengthening the wires to the transformer, the unit was almost ready to install into my wall. It was powered by the kitchen light switch (replaced by a tamper proof switch that needs a key to turn on or off, so it is always on and cannot be accidentally shut off). The UPS provides power to the wifi kitchen LED lights which are un turn operated through a voice assistant. The voice assistant also is powered by the UPS and the wifi booster is also powered by it as well.The front panel of the UPS case I kept intact and mounted to a piece of black acrylic plastic I had left over from a similar project. This “panel” was mounted over the cut out I put in the wall and another wood cover was placed over the battery area I cut out lower from the panel. The whole project took a few days to prepare and then a few hours to install into the existing wiring of the house. Now, the UPS is inside of the wall, and function perfectly.The series of photos show the unit disassembled, then I checked to see how it fit into the project boxes. After that it was just mounting, soldering, wiring, and then modifying the house wall and wiring, to place the unit before the kitchen lights, but after the switch power. The one with the wood panel and vent is a cover for the battery compartment. Last are a couple of finishing photos, one showing the lights with 100% brightness, the other at 25% brightness. The estimated run time is on the Cyberpower display and the load image above is blank because the LED lights draw almost nothing for power when running.Our home’s kitchen lights are now able to run for as much as 460 minutes at 25% brightness, or as much as 160 minutes at full brightness. The goal was achieved and I am very pleased with the Cyberpower UPS as it does exactly what we need it to.The unit had the ability to surge protect your cable, and RJ-45 (Ethernet) connections, but I removed these as they were not needed. I hope that whether you use it as is or you modify it yourself, you enjoy the protection it offerers for many years to come.

Perfecto para proteger un equipo de gama medio alto
Lo compre porque tuve un problema con uno de mis HD en una baja de energía, lo que me corrompió el SO, afortunadamente no se daño nada de hardware, pero me consto un rato arreglar el SO para que jalara windows. con este nobreak ya no tengo problemas ni con bajas ni con altas de energía, pero solo lo recomiendo para equipos que tengan una fuente de 850 W y procesadores ultra o 3D, si tienes un equipo mas alto o mas bajo no lo recomiendo ya que si es mas alto no te dará el respaldo necesario en bajas de energía y si es mas bajo esta sobrepasado y estarías pagando mas por protección que no necesitas, la relación calidad precio es muy buena y si vives en la CDMX donde la energía varia muchísimo esta es una excelente opción, ademas de que tu puedes cambiar las baterias. muy recomendado

I just purchased this and set it up to protect my home entertainment equipment. First of all it was so easy to set up and operate. It definitely sounded to my ear like the power going into my system and the sound coming out, was cleaner. Regardless I know my receiver, turntable tube pre-amp, turntable, Xbox, TV, IPad etc are all safe from a power surge and that alone is worth the price. I was also curious about the battery back up longevity so I turned on my receiver, TV, Xbox, Xbox remote Charger and listened to tunes Via my IPad and then unplugged the system just to see how long it would last. I listened to music for 1hr before I finally had to go to bed and this thing was still going and had only used approx. 50% of power. and said it had another 77 mins of battery life. The LCD screen is also helpful and informative. In fact i enjoy just watching the power fluctuation readout which has dropped as low as 112v up to 127v. To top it off, the system just looks cool tied in with the rest of my stuff. people have asked me what it is and when I explain its function etc. they immediately say they want one.I would and have recommended this product to anyone even if you just want to protect a nice TV.
