Ya har, fiddle de dee
This is a way to get great long term storage in a (relatively) convenient format. Not surprisingly, AI data centers DON'T need DVDs or CD-ROMs. This is why these little miracles are still sitting at a convenient price, around 35 dollars for 100 of them. Thats around 1/2 TB of storage. And, if you're like me and tired of streaming services abruptly pulling content, increasing prices, or even services where digital content "ownership" can be revoked at any time, then this serves a dual purpose. Valve has it right, where if purchasing something becomes more difficult, or so expensive that the effort to sail the seven seas is easier, then that is what customers will do. I WANT streaming to be my go to method of getting media. But $20 a month for Disney+ add free? The days of 7 dollars, unlimited content that always got better on Netflix are over. But since I can't afford literally $1000 in HDDs to expand my NAS/media server, my plex library must be pruned continuously. Enter the lowly DVD. This unassuming piece of plastic and metal foil allows me to preserve content that was already lower resolution, without causing me to redownload something that I watch at a annual, or biannual timeframe. A win for my ratio, a win for my wallet, a win for my privacy, and my personal protest to strike back at the @#$! the overloads in their high castle put over me.Oh, these discs are pretty good. I returned to verbatim after consuming their CDs and DVDs back in the 00s and 10s. So far, the quality is just as good as they were before. My slim external burner has made 0 fuss, they read and write quickly, and they come neatly packed in a large case. I will return when the need arises.

Great Quality Retention and Storage Size for a Great Price
These discs are great for what I was looking for. Had an old movie that was about 4.2 GBs and it fit perfectly on one of these discs. The quality of the sound and video was great and the video transferred in a matter of minutes. The condition of the original video was kept completely. The disc was compatible with both my laptop's external DVD player and my PS3. I also received 50 of them for the low price of 11 dollars. Totally get these if you need DVDs for something!

Very Reliable--Works Great With Apple External Disc Drive
These work great, especially with an Apple External Disc Drive. I rarely, if ever, end up with coasters. They seem to work with the current external disc drives, though I've only used them with my Apple drive. Extremely reliable and dependable.I used to have Panasonic DVD recorders with HDD/DVD burners, which is old technology from the early 2000s. These Verbatim discs won't work as well in Panasonics, since they are much older technology. If you have such a recorder, I recommend the Sony DVD-Rs Printable discs, also available on Amazon.

How I transitioned Sony Handycam Hi-8 Videos to Verbatim DVD-4 AZO Dye Discs
I originally converted over fifty Handycam tapes to DVD with a Panasonic recorder and later made MP4 copies. Last year, I learned that the Maxell DVDs I used don’t hold up well over time, while Verbatim AZO discs are far more durable. Since these videos include family birthdays, cruises, and footage of loved ones who’ve passed, I didn’t want to risk losing them.I bought Verbatim AZO DVD‑Rs and created a fresh set. I used DeVeDe and LosslessCut on my older HP AMD running Zorin 17, then finished on my HP AMD SSD laptop with WinX DVD Author. Everything worked smoothly. This time, I also made “greatest hits” versions by cutting out the dull sections and stitching together the best moments using HandBrake and LosslessCut on Windows 11. Copilot helped me match clip settings by analyzing MediaInfo data so everything lined up perfectly. Now the videos are cleaner, more enjoyable to watch, and preserved on media that should last much longer.

Works as needed
Needed to write homebrew software onto dvd to try and get info from old ps2 so I could run my ps2 games on my pc with an emulator. Sadly the process failed due to bad laser but wanted to give it a go. So bought the cheapest pack for the amount and this one was it. Discs work great, sadly the laser in the ps2 was too far gone and had to go another route. Havent used anymore for anything else yet. Likely will back up older vhs of family tapes on the rest of these, to then pull off to store digitally on my pc.
