High-Flow Original Lifetime Engine Air Filter: Washable, 33-2438

I recently upgraded my vehicle's air filter to the K&N Engine Air Filter, and I'm absolutely thrilled with the results. This product has proven to be a game-changer, offering a level of quality, fit, and performance that not only matches OEM standards but surpasses them. The build quality of the K&N filter is exceptional, and it fits my vehicle perfectly. Installation was a breeze, with the filter sliding seamlessly into place. The sturdy construction gives me confidence in its durability, ensuring long-lasting performance. However, where the K&N filter truly shines is in its performance. The increased airflow has made a noticeable difference in my car's throttle response, providing a significant boost in horsepower. The engine runs smoother and more efficiently, delivering an enhanced driving experience. I've also observed potential improvements in fuel efficiency, which is a fantastic bonus. Maintenance is a breeze with the K&N filter, as it is washable and reusable. This not only saves money in the long run but also contributes to a more eco-friendly approach to vehicle maintenance. Considering the unbeatable quality, perfect fit, and outstanding performance, the K&N Engine Air Filter is a must-have upgrade for any car enthusiast. If you're looking to elevate your vehicle's performance, I highly recommend making the switch to K&N. It's an investment that pays off in increased power, efficiency, and long-term savings. Don't hesitate – upgrade your air filter today!

Wasn’t install. Easy to use. Better performance.

Would I recommend a K&N air filter? Short story is yes - this is a 5-star review. I like that it is a permanent filter you can clean and oil over the life of the vehicle. I like to think that it improves air flow and perhaps a negligible HP increase. I have always put K&N in my vehicles and plan to continue doing so. That being said, I've always wondered whether the stated MPG increase is real or perceived. From a pretty data-driven standpoint, I now have reason to question the claim of better mileage with a K&N filter. I purchased a 2018 4Runner brand new and started logging every single fill-up from 6 months post-purchase. After 14 months of logging fill-ups, I replaced with a K&N filter and continued to log all fill-ups. I don't drive as much as some (26K miles on a 4 year old vehicle), but the driving has been fairly consistent. Overall I have 78 fill-ups logged with 50 pre-K&N, and 28 post-K&N. See the attached photo for the outcome of this experiment. I looked at strictly the average of all MPG data points pre-K&N, and post-K&N, finding a nearly 5% LOWER MPG after installing the K&N. Knowing that my driving may have shifted and I had a few really high ones (strict highway driving) and a few really low ones (towing a trailer) on both data sets, I removed any data points more than 1 standard deviation from the mean on either side. The second column still shows a nearly 3% decline in MPG post-K&N install. I plan to continue logging my fill-ups and will see how things change over time. I do believe that with a larger data set, the numbers would get closer together, but I don't believe you will see significant increases in MPG after installing a K&N air filter. It won't pay for itself in the gas savings, but could pay for itself in the long-term due to no disposable filter replacements

Great quality item. It has already increased my gas mileage by .5 mpg. I can’t say enough good things about the company, though. My item was shipped by Amazon directly in the manufacturer’s box with no outer packaging and was missing a small detail. I contacted K&N requesting they send that small item and they immediately responded and sent what I needed. I do not remember the last time I received that level of customer service and it was so appreciated.

Powerful mod. A must have!

Great easy to install

It seems like a good design, but I've ordered a couple of these and the fit and finish was very poor. I will try again one of these days to get a good one

Power you can feel and hear too!

I didn't expect such a poor built quality and I am wondering if it is good air filter or not. cheap single use are filters have better built quality

Night and day difference in my 2018 4Runner limited!! I cannot believe the factory air filter, it is 4 inches of pleated filter material with a dense filter mat on top of that! It shifts immediately, a lot more power and better throttle response! You will not be disappointed and it does not your warranty.
