The man who died twice ( the thursday murder club series) Paperback – April 29, 2022

I read the first book and loved it. The movie was fun, but I’m so glad that I read the book first. This book would be even better as a movie (or hopefully a miniseries). I am looking forward to downloading the next one.

I’m going to get all these books. They keep you thinking but not in a dark way. Very relaxing. Wonderful characters who are likable , which is increasingly rare. Beautifully written and not overdone. He’s telling a great story not trying to make a philosophical statement. He’s given us all a great gift with these books.

I have read the first two books in this series and the only disappoint thing about either was the awful movie made from the first book. In other words, I loved both books and the next and the next is on my reading list.

I usually figure out a mystery about half way in, but the twists and turns here actually proved me wrong. You will not want to put this one down until the very last page.

I certainly won't be watching the tv series, because our dear Bodgdan is villified, and they've taken away all the best bits.

A clever group of eccentric elderly friends solving crimes as the Thursday Murder Club. Lots of laughs when one of them (mostly sweet Joyce) gets sidetracked and rambles on about some mundane topic. This harmless looking group is the least expected to outwit criminals and help the local law enforcement solve a crime or two. Plenty of twists, fun and entertainment. Not being British, I had to keep Google on standby every time I was curious about an unusual word. Most turned out to be a food or drink. This is book 2, I'm looking forward to what's ahead as well as backtracking to book 1 to see how this group begins.

If you have a sense of humor and love a good mystery, this series is for you.
